Default Leo Egg Advice

Hey guys, just need some advice.

My leo laid an egg the other day. Just the one... I put it in the incubator and its covered in a layer of fluffy mould. I have candled it and it glows red. Is there anything i can do to get rid of the mould or will the egg be okay???

Please help guys. Thanks

Not a good sign if it already has a layer of fluffy mould on it mate - especially if it`s glowing red. Personally, I`d very carefully try to wipe it off with an ear bud/cotton ball and allow it to dry out slightly by part moving the lid of the container. How are you preparing your incubating medium if it`s got mould already? - it`s usually an indication of either it`s too wet, no fresh air - or old/re-used medium if you`ve got mould early on. I really feel sorry for you - cpz it`s a killer when it`s obvious an egg is fertile but starts to have problems. Wish you the very best of luck with it.

pretty much as Funky says ~ would definately check the medium isn't too wet and that there's good ventilation/air movement.... also when you've wiped the egg put it into fresh, clean medium and don't lay the egg too deeply in.
What medium are you using anyways?

best of luck
