Default Leo Mating

ok so is it only me that has a heart attack every time they put 2 leos together 2 breed?
im always so nervous incase of fights etc.
i put 2 leos together the other day and they got straight on with it in seconds.
i just paired them up again and my male ran up and bit the females head. not in the mating way but as in "im gnna eat your face" way.
any ideas as to why this was?
and whats the chances of her being pregnant from the 1st pairing?

Hi its my first year too s have asked all the questions already.
I have had my male in with my females for a while now as i popped him in there when they had all slowed down for brumation so it was an easy meet.

An idea as to why things went a bit skew the second time is probably because the female was sending the message that she wasn't interested and the male was most probably feeling pretty amorous.

It is highly possible that the female has received sperm from the first mate but as I am sure you are well aware, leo females can retain the males sperm from one mate for several months and just use small amounts from the store when she feels the time is right for eggs.

That what you wanted to know?
