I'm in the same boat, been looking through loads of books and best advise i can find is ''follow breeding techniques similar to boa constrictors''. so this is what i've done with mine..... they had their last meal on 11-10-09, 2 wks later i started cooling to 84f at hot end 8am - 4pm, 74f 4pm -8am (my normal temps being 90f hot end 8am - 8pm and low 80s 8pm - 8am). I kept these temps for approx 10wks without any feeding at all and also provided a much smaller water bowl such as a rabbit bowl (i usually provide a cat litter dish big enough for them to bath in). I keep my pair in seperate vivs and introduced the male to female at the begining of cooling period for a few days, then a cpl days off! 1st intro came to nothing, 2nd intro the male was all over her like a rash, courting/spurring andhas been on and off since! Ive witnessed quite a few lock ups! the female shed on 11-12-09, but never witnessed ovulation as i was busy at work the whole wk prior so it may or may not of happened! I brung the temps back to normal on the 20-12-09 and offered food yesterday which the female as usual was'nt slow in scoffing but unusually the male wouldn't take it! so mabey he js wnts to mate? so this is where i'm at now, can't swear by this beause this is my 1st attempt at breeding anything! kept reptiles for years but js havent found the time to to dedicate till now! I'll keep reinroducing the male to her untill i c that she is gravid and I'll keep this up dated! fingers crossed!
