Default Getting a egg to test?

im going to breed my royals nest year but if i get a female before im looking to breed her in october time, well this gives me time to build a incubator but i wanted to get a egg to test do u think this would work? i know my family got chickens do u think it would be a good idea to try them 1st?

Would be easier just to use a min/max thermometer to see how the temps hold up.
You can get fertile chicken eggs from eBay though

i got all the stuff but the heat mat is being used atm so once i sold the boa i got one ill try it out to see temp coz i could get a egg from my dad -dad lol he got a male and loads of female chickens so i think they would lay fertilse.

All you will prove is that your incubator will hatch hens eggs.

Hens eggs need turning several times a day, higher temperatures and lower humidity than snake eggs and only take 21 days to hatch.

No reason why you shouldn't try but it won't prove anything.
