experienced beardy breeders.. help!
hey folks.. ive got a couple of questions regarding the breeding of bearded dragons.
my male and female are both 2 years old.. both in perfect health. I placed the female into the males viv for a few weeks for them to do the deed.. after a few weeks back in her own viv she looked a little bigger, but she didnt have any visible bumps in her abdomen that would indicate the presence of eggs. i assumed that they hadnt actually mated. however a few days later i found a clutch of 24 eggs in her viv. unfortunately they were infertile.. being her first clutch.
now a month after she laid she is looking a little bigger again. she still doesnt have any visible bumps tho. im wondering if shes double clutched but shes hiding the eggs like last time?
when i introduce my male to her again he head bobs and climbs in top of her, but their tails dont lock together and he just lies there not moving. is it possible that ahe is aware she is already carrying a clutch and thats why theyre not completing their mating game? lol
thanks for any advice you can give me
