my male was about 1 year and he did fine its the female whice is more important people say 300 grams so anything over 300 grams should be ok but you dont want her to be over 300 grams of fat she needs to be health an lean hope this helps

As a male, your two-footer will almost certainly be able to breed successfully - although I personally would make sure he's in his second spring (i.e. he ought to be an '07 if you wanted to breed him this year, an '08 if you were looking to breed him next year) to help ensure he's fertile.

I wouldn't breed a female until she is at least 300 grams and 3 feet in length - and that must be a healthy weight for the length, not a FAT weight for the length. A fat female who's been overfed and grown quick to get her over that crucial "rule of 3" is not going to make as successful a breeder as a slender, healthy snake.
