I really wouldn't breed a female thats only 200-220g, if you do, you are running high risks of losing her. A female really needs to be a healthy 300+ grams.

I'll second that.

3ft long or the safer choice for the snake is that she would be 300g. Dunno how many others would agree but that what i take into consideration before breeding.

Hope this helps

i agree with you i would rather my animals be in top condition to breed rather then risk losing any or causeing and problems for them

I also agree... I would say 3 years and 300g is the very minimum, personally I'm only happy to breed my female girl when shes over 550g, but thats because shes a bit older and longer - for her 300g would be too skinny!

Plus whoever said their 6 foot male needed a diet because of his weight... I have a male corn whos 850g and hes not at all 'fat' he has great muscle tone, very healthy.

Theres no hard and fast rules, it really depends on each individual animal as to whether theyre ready or not.

The two in the picture will be okay to breed, males can breed at a very young age as young as 13 months. I would supervise the mating and seperate them while they can not be watched though due to the size difference. You can not always go on the males weight to determine that they are overweight as mentioned above, but if a male is over weight you will most likely find it hard to get him to breed.
