by what I have been told about corns as im new to it females have to weigh 200-220g and males 80-100g so as long as their weights are ok i would see no problem. well thats going by what i have been told any way. good luck

Cool Corns

Hey Alice,
i think the majority of ppl on here would use the rule of 3 (Me included).
I try to make sure my females are either;-
3 yrs old
3ft long or the safer choice for the snake is that she would be 300g. Dunno how many others would agree but that what i take into consideration before breeding.

Hope this helps

A 220-gram female will probably lose a SIGNIFICANT amount of that weight if she's bred and lays anything more than half a dozen eggs or so.

Even a 300 gram girl can lose a third of her weight laying a normally sized clutch - which leaves them looking VERY ragged.

The bigger (but of healthy proportions) your female is, the better.

Really? If its really 6 feet (doubt it) then it should weigh alot more than 580g

And i definately agree with the rule of 3 for females. As long as the male is big enough to get the job down without getting crushed then i don't really see a problem. Perhaps increased monitoring would be advisable in some instances.

Cheers
