Default breeding my pedigree chihuahua

hi there i have a top quality pedigree chihuahua also a pure bred pomeranian, now i have never bred dogs before but i really need to know how to go about it other than to get the female and wait until she is in season. i mean like how to introduce them and what are the signals from the bitch to say that she is ready to stand for the mating. also how can you tell if she is pregnant after the breeding and how long before you see these signs. well what im asking really is any advice on breeding dogs as these two are beautiful pure bred animals and they would produce some gorgeous pups, now before i get the usual stick about breeding them please can i assure you that this is not just a money making scheme i honestly believe that they would better the breed and they have both had vet checks for hips eyes etc. any advice would be greatly appriciated.

Might be worth posting in the "other pets" section as I think there are a few experienced breeders in there.

A doggy post for a change. I show and breed mini smooth dachshunds. For the bitch to be ready she will go into season and swell, around 10 days into the season her mucus will go more of a straw colour this is the time to be mating, you have a small window or a few days so advised to have 2 matings 2 days apart so 10th and 12th day of her season. Then if the deed has been done with a good lock then I know it sounds odd but you can just tell she is, not many outward sign until well and truly pregnant. If you want to read a detailed how to book then buy 'the book of the bitch' its not expensive been around for years but really good.
Also make sure you have money set aside for emergency treatment, in small dogs this is most likely going to be a C section. Dogs with clear health certificates even in a pet market are more desirable. But do consider the current market some breeders are having troubles selling litters so be prepared to keep them for a good length of time which isnt as bad with a small breed as you have small litters. Also dogs with big coats have to be clipped on the belly and rear so if this was a show dog dont expect her to be ready to go back into the ring for a good year until the coat recovers. It takes more time than anything so dont have any big holidays or events planned.
Also has already been mentioned for them to be registered both parents need to be the same breed, have KC registration papers with no breeding restrictions. If they do have breeding restrictions these can be lifted but only by the original breeder but sometimes can be hard to change their mind or sometimes they will charge you for it.

in the cat world breeders get very upset you `didnt ask for breeding` when you bought the kitten and its unusual to get restrictions taken off. ( but thats probly because theres different prices for pet or breeding quailty kittens )

is it the same in the dog world?

two of my previous dogs had restrictions placed on them, but the breeders removed them for me, not that i ever had pups.
good job really, i`d have kept them all!!!!

he is called jamal and is a tcup (less than 2kg) he is a proven breeder and the puppies he produced so far have also been tcup.

he is fully black with cute apple shaped head, short muzzle and goggle eyes.

pm me if intested pics are available on request. we would be looking for cash OR pick of the litter. which ever is best for you.
is this the dog you`re on about breeding from?

Actually less likely to have restrictions on a KC reg in dogs, but I personally put restrictions on my own puppies so they have to come back to me so I can check how they have grown and see how close to the breed standard they are as in mini dachshunds we have issues with weight limits so anything too big or too small wont have a restriction removed.

maybe its just the breeds i go for then!

the breeders of my last 2 bullmastiffs put restrictions on the whole litter, ( progeny not to be registered, cannot be exported ) it was only when they knew you better that they were removed.
