Default day 14 after shed shes twitching

hi guys i a newbie here and was hoping to get some advice. My cornsnake "cash" is pregnant she is on day 14 after her prelay shed i have just gone in to check on her and every now and again she twitches this is an unexpexted pregnancy as i thought tango and cash were both females and cash is not at the 3x3s to be breeding she is 3ft long about 18 months old and about 190 grams i would be very grateful if anyone could give me some advice as soon as possible is the twitching normal or do i have something to worry about thanks guys

Twitching is usually a leave me alone thing with corns if not actually breeding. Does she have a nice moist laying box in with her? And are you definately sure its now at 14 days and usually they should lay no later than 2 weeks (14 days) after the pre lay shed. Was it definately the pre lay? Does she look massive and obviously full of eggs to the point you can see the rough shape of a few?

Default cashs twitching

yeah shes in a moist hide at the moment and its defo 14 days since her shed her last shed was 25-7-09 i found out she was preggie on 1-8-09 as i took her to my reptile shop because i noticed that she was all lumpy and he said that she was defo preggie, then she shed again on the 31-8-09 which i presume is her prelay shed and yes you can defo make out lumps i was just worried bout the twitching as she is normally such a calm and placid snake

Honestly dont know what to advise you because it all depends on the snake. 2 weeks is a cut off point, never had any personally that didnt have issues go longer than this but the last one that did had started to lay and stopped. So with yours not even starting to lay she could be holding off for a bit of quite time or she could have had an early pre lay shed or she could have a problem. I would say if she doesnt start to lay soon then you might need a rep vet. Only issue is the only time I took an egg bound snake to the vets she didnt survive and I consider my vet to be a very good rep vet, but I have had a couple before but not corns that I didnt and they eventually laid slugs after feeding them to help shove the eggs out. Its a judgement call that only you can make, but I hope everything turns out for the best for you.
