Hi All, I hope someone can help.
My bearded is due to lay her eggs any day now. I have set up my herp Nursery and got the temperature correct, using an thermometer inside and not trusting the reading that the incubator is telling me. I was wondering what type of box I can use to put the eggs in and does it have to be air tight (what i have read on some sites) or have small holds, or can i just place them in a small sandwich box without a lid on, as long as i get the humidity level right. I have tried 2 boxes with moist vermiculite (not damp) and a seal lid on one and a slightly open lid on the other, and using a hygrometer i can not seem to get the right humidity reading, it keeps coming back at 99%. At the moment I have an open box of moist vermiculite and am waiting to see what the humidity will go to. But PLEASE can someone advise as I would like to have my first batch of eggs survive. Thank you in advance. Mark |

I use cricket boxes and sometimes a dish of water in the incubator if i need to bump up the humidity.
