Default Breeding Stacks/rubs

I have a question. What are peoples views on breeding animals in plastic rubs in stacks? I know this happens a lot when people start breeding a lot of animals but do you really think it's right? I heard someone say that they don't want those 'crappy' rock looking hides that are hard to clean, he wants simple plastic hides that are easy to clean instead.

I have no problems with breeding and intend to breed myself, partly for the enjoyment but for instance I don't want my c. water dragon to live his life on his own in his viv. I have no problems with people wanting to make money from this hobby either, I just think you should keep animals in the guided vivarium size, even if it does take up more room!

What do you think?

It is a lot easier to keep your husbandry 100% in plastic tubs/racks compared to wooden vivs. I think it also depends on what you are keeping in tubs. I keep and breed royal pythons in rack systems. They cope really well as they feel nice and secure in tubs.

both my snakes are in tubs now, because they are better then vivs for them imo. they have the a larger floor area and it cuts down on the height that is wasted with terrestrial snakes.
now for my new dumerils, they are going into vivs, because they will need the space when adult, but the male will be in a tub to start.

basicly, some animals are better suited to tubs then vivs, usually terrestrial snakes like royals, but arboreals like carpets and such need vivs.

should have said that my burm is 2 foot long, when it hits 6-ish foot there wont be a tub big enough for him, so he'll go in a low viv(4x2x18''), then a 6x3x32'', so i can crawl in to clean if needs be.

You can keep animals in RUBs and still give them the space requirements they need, i keep my Leos in a racking system but my other pets (Chameleon, Beardie etc) Live in tanks as it fits their requirements.
It totally depends on the animal, My Leos are clean and comfortable in their rack, and it makes my job of looking after them a lot easier although if i didn't think it was best for them, then i wouldn't keep them like that.
