Not sure why anyone would hate you for posting that picture... If anything it is good for new breeders to see that breeding reptiles is not always fun... Unfortunate things happen and that is the reality of breeding reptiles...

I just don't want anyone thinking im a horrible person for removing the egg and examining. I made sure it was definately dead before doing so, it was left for 16 hours with no movement at all.

The worst thing is, iv got another clutch due to hatch in 2 weeks and one of them eggs has done exactly the same. I really can't understand why. Iv done the light test and it's alive and moving but iv lost all hope when this happens now.

It might be ok and i will give it the chance, it might end up proving me wrong. If this one doesn't pop the egg with it's leg it might stand a better chance. I will keep this thread updated with the progress and outcome.

I agree, breeding isn't all fun and games. Bad things also happen

I think you have done the best thing by trying to find out why it happened in order to hopefully prevent it happening again
