Default urgent boa help

our female hogg island is starting to act really weird yesterday. i'll give you a bit of history first we got her in august and she had been in with a male for a while. we got her and she weighed over 2kg a few weeks later we weighed her again and she had gone upto 4.5kg. a few days later she turned really funny with my wife as in my wife could walk past her viv and she would strike out. even when she is out my wife cant go near her.She has become alot fatter. She was seen ovulating by her previous owner. With talks to him we calculated as he could not remember the exact date if she is gravid she would be due any where from 04/11-07/11. In 14 weeks she has shed for us twice. Yesterday when we went into check on her she was in her cool end but her body temp had gone up really hot. and her body had ballooned out. She also kept out twitching her tail. Has any one got any ideas on whether they think she is gravid and any other advice on when it could be or the normal behaviour of a boa before they give birth thanks

Default Hi

Think i am having similar issue? i have 3 boas and of two of which i was told are males and the biggest one is a female? turns out the female is actually a male and one of the males is actually a female? following me so far?

Anyway all very placid snakes never bite or strike at me until they started copping off with each other now i have a viv of horrors there all at it and trying to go for me in the process? Are they protecting her or do they just hate me??? i am no stranger to snake bites i have been bitten countless times by all kinds of constrictors but two of these snakes are adults and very heavy set! These guys will do some serious damage if they get hold of me? Now please dont be thinking i am scared of my boas because i am not in anyway shape or form i love them to bits! i just want to know how and why there behaviour has changed almost over night? could understand the female being gravid and bad tempered but whats up with the two males??? There has been no temperature changes in the viv or any feeding time changes as i was not planning on breeding these nor has there been any new introductions to the collection! i am stumped are they all going through a mid life crisis?

Female is not showing signs of being gravid either as in no swelling or going off food.

If she has shed twice since you got her then she is not likely to be gravid. A boa will shed post ovulation then give birth approx 105 days later, they usually don't shed during this period although it can happen half way through but only once and I have never had it happen.
