ratio of vermiculit to water in home made incubator

just preparing our home made incubator, wondering what percent water to vermiculate do you use and also how to get the correct humidity? got another week or so to get it all sorted so any help appreciated.

ie 100g vermiculite 100g water
so i've read and it should then be moist and clumpy

Hi mate
I had good results with Perlite last season, far less messy than verm and allows good airflow around the eggs, most eggs need about 85-90+ % humidity without excessive moisture.
Mix perlite following instructions on packet and away you go.
OR mix with verm 50:50.
