how do you do this?

male in females rub, female in males rub?

move both into rub or a viv?

also, whats the ULIMATE latest in the year people introduce?

and what kind of day/night do you prefer to introduce?

how long do you leave them together?

I put the male into the female rub, Its best to disturb the female as little as possible during breeding.

If you have breedable size royals now then get them together now, they might or might not breed but now's the time.

I leave my males in the female RUB for 3 days then take him out for 3 days then back in for 3 days unless a lock is witnessed, then he comes out once they've seperated.
Leave him for 3 days then back in again.

I've been introducing the male into the females RUB in the early evening.

But then, what do I know?
I've paired them loads of times and have yet to see a lock

so... say the royals are up too size. 1200g male and 3-4k female..

do i need to do anything in advance to get them horny?

or just treat them as normal...

some breeders will cool the snakes, gradually reducing the temps over a period of weeks but I think you've left it a bit late for that.

I'd stick em together and see what happens.

Make sure you have an incubator ready though for when the eggs arrive

yep, almost the same here...
just to add, in the wild it's the male who'll go looking for the female, so as Mark said, male too female
also, her RUB/viv will be full of her scent which should increase the chance of breeding
when the female sheds, leave it (plus anything else, poo etc) in with her as well
you can clean the poo out if you want to, but leave the bedding/substrate in there

I put the males in with the girls, after she's shed is always a good time.
Make sure to offer the males food after every lock, don't want them shagging themselves to death, which can, and does happen.
The latest i've had a clutch hatch, would be new years day 2010
