Default corn breeding

my female anery has been in with male carolina for a while now n she seems to be getting fatter, recently just shed aswell bwt 2wks ago and now she is back in shed nearly n gettin chunky, when does it start to show that she has eggs in her and how long after shed will she lay? all help appreciated thanks

Pick her up and let her slide through your hands with the fingertips of one hand on the underside of her belly, if there are eggs there then you should be able to count them.

If she shed 2 weeks ago, and then shed again it is likely that it was her prelay shed. Mine normally lay around a week after the prelay shed but it can be a bit sooner or later. It's important that you remove the male before she lays as he can stress her out, and it's likely he'll want to mate again before her body has recovered.

males been removed, she is also turning her side up and when i touch her belly she lifts it away.

They dont always like being held, if you do though make sure you support her bottom 1/3. if she feels you are not looking after her eggs she may struggle and then actually risk damaging them anyway.
