Default leo eggs

hello i am new to this site but just after some info really um i am currently incubating leo eggs i have got them in a home made incubator but i am havin trouble keeping the temp constant there about a 5-6 dec fahrehit fluxuation is this going to effect my eggs ne advise would be most gratefull

what stat are you using and with what heat source? I would say that a temp variation of that much would probably cause problems im no expert but that seems like a lot.

i am useing a micro stat and a heat matt hmm thats what i thought well i will have to c what happens i surpose im trying to keep it constant but finding it hard as my room not the warmist room in the house and the temp differs in there as well

i would reccomend a pulse stat if you can get 1 my incubator temps only fluctuate 0.5 degrees with a pulse stat

yep pulse stats are the way forward for incubation, a little bit more expensive but there worth it.

I have home made incubators and I use pulse stats their the best for incubators, and yes a fluctuation that great will make a lot of difference to sex of hatchlings if its leo eggs your cooking.

yeah i will have to look in to one of them i just dont want my 1st set of eggs to be no gd lol so i am trying my best lol

yeah its gecko eggs in the oven but with that much dif in temp will it kill um tho thats what i dont want. and tonkaz0 my gecko called marley after bob just like you dog haha lol

i have bin looking a pulse stats the only ones that i can find seem to be for heat bulbs will this be alrite for a heat matt

Pulse stats are fine for a heat mat.
Using a mat stat for incubators is a bit hit and miss as the way they work is very stop/start on heat and no heat.
Pulses are called that as they 'pulse' much more frequently, giving little top ups virtually none stop, making it much more stable on the temps. Definitely worth investing in!
