I have home made incubators and I use pulse stats their the best for incubators, and yes a fluctuation that great will make a lot of difference to sex of hatchlings if its leo eggs your cooking.

Pulse stats are fine for a heat mat.
Using a mat stat for incubators is a bit hit and miss as the way they work is very stop/start on heat and no heat. Pulses are called that as they 'pulse' much more frequently, giving little top ups virtually none stop, making it much more stable on the temps. Definitely worth investing in! |
