hi there i bought some reps out of the classified section from here the guy said he wasnt able to meet me and i had to meet his girlfriend so drove 160 mile to pick up the torts, after inspecting them i noticed one of them had rns and really bad eye infections so i showed the girl, she said yes they had been poorly for ages now, but the guy said they were in good health i asked her if she could put them back in the viv to warm them up she said she couldnt i asked her to phone her boyfriend so i could have a word he said they were fine last night even though his girlfriend had said they had been ill for ages, he knocked me £90 off the bill to be fair i should have left the torts but didnt as their conditions were shit, these are 2 adult red foot torts which were kept in a 4 by 2 by 2 viv with what looked like no light or heat. he did say he would take them to the vets and have them looked at and i could pick them up the weekend after but i would have done a 320 mile round trip for nothing,

look mate i didnt wanna start an arguement but i did say how i hadnt been keeping them at mine and that wasnt their viv so im gonna leave it and not argue anymore and once again im sorry that things turned out the way they did with the tortoises

the pics you have in your gallery were clearly taken in the same place as i picked them up from so clearly they werent just in that viv for 10 hrs. the tort hasnt just got an eye infection it also has RNS as she is blowing bubbles and sounds awful, your girlfriend had even said they had been ill for a while, mate your tort husbandry is shit, you had sulcatas and leopards mixed and the reds were freezing i dont understand why you dont give them a basking light during the day, any one that keeps reptiles understands they need to bask to regulate their temp, your girlfriend had said they had had no heat since 6am[/quote]

i have had many of times i let people give me offers on reps etc and sometimes i get a bigger offer after i have already said ok to the other person.. but i never ever let the person down that i said ok to. thats just dam right rude and not on. poor sod i hope you get what your after one day.....

hi tomcat would you still have swapped your animals for the sick torts, i know i still bought them when they were ill as i just couldnt leave them in that state, i have asked a mod if he can be banned out of the classified section as i have had a few pms by other people who have also had bad dealings with him, he is no animal lover he just out to make a profit no matter what

argh this happened to me, finallsy got my parents to agree to take me to the place, pick up day was 2 days away n then i saw "sold" on his thread, so at first i thought ah to me right? wrong, next pos "thanks for the snakles theyre great", i was gutted, his only answer was" im sorry i owed a friend a facour and he was inerested"

tomcat ive just paid my vet bill for those reds, believe me mate you had a lucky escape, considering i bought them off this forum off the classified section and they were ment to be fit and well i should really be compensated as i can prove these were in real bad condition

So glad they are with someone who will actually take care of them, but yes, I definately think he should be paying those vet bills !
