I only have issues with the picture part.
I have a dodgy old 4mp camara, not good at all, and I have had people ask for "better quality pictures", so is there going to be an 'accepted quality of picture' as well?

no,... you never have to pay attention to anyone unless they are sensible and respectful. any kid that thinks he's all that is mistaken and should be put in his place.

I'd like it if there was a form as follows:

Dropdown list: SALE / TRADE / SALE OR TRADE / WANTED (Pick one)
Textbox for Location (required field)
Dropdown list: COLLECTION OR DELIVERY ONLY / CAN DELIVER OR COLLECT / CAN MEET HALFWAY (pick one)
Title Description
Advertisement Description

I don't always put up pictures (and if you're posting a Wanted ad, you can hardly post a picture and say "I want this one") and don't find them all that necessary. I also wouldn't want to put in required fields for things that people might not know or be able to answer (sex, feeding regime, etc).

What I DO want to know is:

Are you selling or are you searching?
Where are you?
Can you come to me or do I need to travel and how far?
What is it

surely if you haven`t got a phone that takes at least half decent pics or even a modest digital camera which you can now pick up for peanuts then you truelly are defective.
i believe that anyone who can`t find 30 quid or so to buy a basic camera should be keeping animals at all.

Surely spending that £30 on animal food, enclosures or even new animals can be an equally high priority to "having a camera so I can take photos when I want to sell on RFUK".

Photos are NICE but they're not a necessity.

I sold most of my animals I was selling recently without posting a single recent picture (Pair of spotted pythons, male royal, female house snake) - and I only sold one of the remaining three after I posted photos.

Photos are nice, but not essential. However I do think that location and whether they will accept a registered courier should be.

As before though, moderating it would be far too much to ask of the guys here.
Basically if someone can't be bothered to add essential details about a sale then they won't sell it - that's their problem.

I don't agree totally.... Location isn't important to me, as I drive and am willing to go to any lengths for the right animal (ask some members on here I have travelled to)
Price.... Where as it would be nice to know, a pm doesn't take long... And a pic is nice, but I don't mind having them by pm......
If you seriously want an animal, you will get it.....
I don't like the, if only you were closer, or, if I only had the money responses.....But I learn to live with them as well.....
