Just because someone will pay a rehoming fee, doesnt mean theyre gonna be good owners.
Ive got a hamster up free to good home. Mainly because she needs a new cage and the previous owners didnt handle her so she needs some work. I wouldnt ask for money for her as i took her for nothing as she was going to end up going to a complete tit if i didnt take her. I think id have a cheek to ask for money for this particular animal. Hence, free!

I must say though, if he is chipped, you cannot 'just' change him into your name. The owner who is named on the chip will be contacted and they have to give permission to have him changed over to you.
Of course, for some reason, many dogs are chipped but not registered so then you would be fine and it is only £7.50 I think!!
I suppose if you could prove he had been passed on in the past then you may be able to argue your case...

my mum has contacted a proper chippin place somewhere as she is going throught the same thing with her rescue one eyed maltese terrier boy and iv already phoned 3 vets about it, they all told us the same, the old owner is only contacted if the dog is reg lost or stolen, if not then hes stright in2 my name n the old owners ant contacted, all the vets told me it was £15 just to change the details over

fingers crossed everythin will go well as it would break my heart to have to give this little lad up, n if for any reason i would totally argue the fact to be able to keep him, no matter how much it would cost.

of course i care what people say, im pretty sure that you knew how old i was, as in the pm that you sent me, about when you stuck up for me when mrs DD was having a go at me, so why did i say all that sh*t etc, i thought you knew that she was having that go at me for not reading an ad right, and because i was too young to get that job. i also think, that maybe if you got to know sparkle, then maybe you wouldnt be as rude to her, and would look up to her, and the advice that she spends a LOT of time giving people. and im pretty sure mrs DD is only saying she likes you now and saying you make her laugh, because those posts were to me..i know she doesnt like me, and maybe never will, all voer a petty job advert really, but i think she has taken it too far to be honest.

i must admit when i saw this thread i thought it was a bit rich considerin the past history, new leaf or not, i still refrained from commenting, but i totally agree with sparkle on what she said

Melinda this is a forum, people will say stuff against you you dont like and you are right to challenge it but you could do it with a bit more diplomacy as your responses make you look like the child not luke

melinda i wanst talking to you .. i was talking to mrs DD

I dont have an issue personally with you or Mrs DD... none. but i do have issue with people being horrible and condescending towards children, if we as grown ups cant set a tone to follow then its US that are immature not them..

and recently there are several adults on the forum specifically singling out some of the kids when they know their age full well and bothering them both on threads and in PMs... private messaging a child is where it crosses the line... I know you havent done this but I know of a few adults on here who recently have

its really ridiculous and very embaressing for the adult.. and shows their true colours..

but i wasnt getting at anyone just making a basic observation at how the adults on here are getting more immature and playgroundy than the young ones.. thats all...

If someone was Pming my daughter on a forum telling them what to do and making comments to her like this Id be worried WHY... what on earth would an adult want to Pm my kid for.. making comments and telling them off like they were her parent.. its just freaky in my eyes and thats whats been happening off the public threads...

How a person reacts says more about them than WHAT they are reacting to... if you hear something you dont like from an adult or a child fine.. but a true personality is shown by the way we act... and if thats directed towards a child when you KNOW its a kid.. like many do on here... to me thats just odd.. but I really wasnt having a go at you melinda...


and mrs dd.. till now i had the utmost respect for you and the way in which you are so passionate about animals.. I dont know why you have such an issue with Luke but if hes bugging you be the adult here and rise above him and ignore it ,,, he is only 12 and im sure you have better things to do.,., i cant remeber if u have any kids.. but i know you have a partner and you seem happy, pretty and with lots of mates.... having a go repeatedly at a kid is a bit pointless...
