![]() I dont see why threads arent all closed. must have all the relevant info....if you need anything else then the rest is done by PM. There is far too much 'if only you were closer' and 'wow nice snake' and 'why do deals like this come up when i dont have the money' |

this is the sort of b t that i hate. i have put my brothers bci up for sale for £120, a guy pm'd me, i pm'd back saying on hold, so he said cancel it and he'll come round within an hour and give me £150. some people woul be tempted, but its the home thats important, not cutting ahead of peoples deals. once i make a deal, thats it

Generally speaking if posts that simply say "that's too expensive" etc are reported to us, the poster will get a warning. If they do it again it's an infraction, and we may look at removing their access to the classifieds section. It all depends on the user, the context and their track record of being disruptive etc.
If you want to tell a seller that you think their prices are too high, do it by PM. I'm sure that if after a couple of weeks the animal hasn't sold then the seller will be more open to suggestions relating to price. Posting on a thread to say "I've seen these cheaper" just disrupts the thread, and usually encourages loads of other people to jump on the bandwagon. As has been said repeatedly in this thread - if you think an animal is overpriced, don't buy it. Perhaps try and haggle the price down if you're genuinely interested. At the end of the day, something are worth what someone else will pay for it. If someone is happy to pay twice the going rate for an animal, then so be it. It's either because they value the animal more highly than the general public, or because they haven't researched prices enough. Either way, it's their responsibility, not everyone elses. |

Ill tll ya what pi@@es me off the price of flipping petrol
No serious now the price of reptiles has been dropping now for a few years ie lucy royal now £3,000 approx 6 years ago £100,000 pyeball royal now £1500 was 6 years ago £ 20,000 Albino royal now £550 was 6 years ago £2,000 Hatchling corns now't special £18 was 6 years ago £40 B dragons was £50 now 25 and less The list is endless Some of the problem is where people have been into reptiles for many years and new people are comming in to the hobby wich is great for all to do with reptiles but dont realise the true value of reptiles and I would have thought it is best to keep the price up so then it dose not become a throw away pet........ But at the end of the day if you dont like the price walk away.........
