Do You 'Barter'?

If something you want to buy is a certain price, do you try and haggle to get the price lower? Does it make a difference if the item you want is from a private seller or in a shop?

Personally, I will always pay the asking price if I think it is fair, although I might ask for a discount if I was buying multiple items. I get so embarrassed talking about money though, it's horrible!

its not often i haggle, or get haggled, tbh. I have never asked a shop to lower its prices, as its the same as asking tesco to cut 10% off the trolly of shopping you have picked. You want it, you pay it, is what i say. I have asked for a multi deal before in the past, but that was for 15 snakes.

I regularly get "cos I know ya" discount, but I never ask for it. TBH, I go in prepared to pay a set price, if it's higher, I'll reconsider, if its too high, I dont bother.

Bartering is swapping goods for other goods of equal value

I haggle almost everywhere, especially on larger purchases .

I will haggle if I am think the price is a bit high or if I am buying more than one animal.

If I think the price is fair then no, I will just pay the asking price.

i once bought close to a thousand pounds worth of electronic goods from curry's and paid around £400 for the lot

If you dont haggle then you dont get. If its an item I would really wanted I would only haggle if i could afford the asking price incase they said no!!
Theres no point haggleing if you cant afford the asking price in the first place.
If they agree then RESULT!!
