Actually shops have to give you a valid guarantee, the same as for any goods that are purchased.... Ask your local Trading Standards.....
There's obviously something amiss here, and one of you has to come out looking bad...

i have known "wingsy" for a very long time and he is not a devious character, the chameleon was sold to him as c.b by the person who had had it for according to him some time with the back up story of the breeder in cardiff.
The animal was drinking and feeding well and in apparent good condition and was sold in good faith with the descriptions given to him by the previous owner.
Its never nice to lose an animal but i feel sometimes people are too quick to look for someone to blame, sometimes things just happen and its best to take it on the chin. If an animal died within days of sale or immediate showed signs of being unwell then something should be sorted out with the seller, people cant be expected however to give an unending guarantee of good health, especially with a private sale.
Even if a vet stated that it had underlying issues, there would have been no way of knowing if the animal hadnt shown distress giving cause for a vets visit.
This is a sad story but lets not have a persons name sullied in public, name and shame this man so we know who not to deal with! this person has sold plenty of different animnals to people who have enjoyed keeping them after him and even had good breeding success with the well started animals he has sold (including the guy who sold him the senegal) lets not let one unhappy incident give this guy a bad name.

Very well put.

I asked about how the vet knew the cause of death as we are told it died from being full of parasites...but what parasites were they? and how did the vet 100% diagnose it died from parasites if no poo sample was taken and no PM was done on it.

AT LAST!!! someone with a bit of grey matter!!! a good rep takes ages to get but seconds to ruin. 5 weeks is way over any guarentee iv ever heard of. plus you beleived what he said to you the same way he beleived the guy that sold it to him so whats the problem? how was he to know if it wasnt showing any signs? take it on the chin but dont try and distroy the guy. this sort of thing is better done in private rather than spalshed all over the forum.

I dont think there is any need to swear like that openly on a public forum where kids can view this.

I still dont understand how you can 100% know is died from being full of parasites if no tests were done on it.

I'm totally keeping out of the arguement regarding the cham but I think wildlife made a valid point about the swearing thats why there is a 18+ section. You may be frustrated but rational explaining will put your arguements in a better light.

I agreed that him lying to you about this was not on.
I also dont think you were the cause of the chams death....that i do agree with you on. However i dont think the seller is to blame for its death either, i said he owed you a sorry and maybe some money IF what you said about the lying, but if it was sold to him and told the same then he sold it on to you, and told you the same then thats a different matter.

4 times i have asked how the vet tested for parasites and each time you have not answered.
