Default member wingsy a absolute C^$k

About 5 weeks ago it was thursday before the wales v italy six nations game, I bought a senegal CB female from this guy.

She looked in tidy condition can't fault that she was well hydrated but my only concern was that she looked very thin on which wingsy informed me that this was normal. Well anyway we paid 80 quid for her and before going i had asked him was she definately CB as if she was wild caught like 99% of them are then i would of taking her to vet to rid of parasites. But he said no i had her from a man that breeds them in cardiff. My opinion i havn't heard of many senegal breeders as they are very hard to breed in captivity due to amount of parasites they are full of when imported. But as he seemd a tidy man he said no definately CB

Well 5 weeks have passed and not a problem only for last couple of days when her eyes would not open, we tried everything we could to sort it out but on third day we decided take her to the reptile centre cardiff where the man there had kept senegals for 30 years. We explained the situation and straight of he informed us that it was a male and not female like wingsy had stated, secondly he said that he knew of no man that bred sengals only a man that buys all of there stock and passes them of as his CB project so he said to us that he was quite sure this was wild caught due to fact that she was so thin, He stated that she was well hydrated and had a good grip so it ment that she was full of parasites, which explained why she had been eating so much when they only supposed have 3-4 small things a day.

Anyway he wasn't very postive about her chances but we still decided take her to valleys vets who deal in exotics, There the vet had confirmed it was parasites and that the damage had been done well before the 5 weeks i had her of wingsy which the man from reptile centre had stated to. so i have emailed him to ask give half back of 80 quid to cover vet bills

he emailed me back saying that i was having a laugh to expect compensation as it been so long and that he was a knowlegable owner and had correct housing. But if this was so wouldn't he of taking her to vets anyway to make sure she was indeed parasite free as it no guarantee or proof man he had it from was indeed telling the truth.

I must admit that i had housed her in a exo terra 30 x 30 x 45 which i said to wingsy and he said ok for now, after 3 weeks i then moved her into a 2ft deep by 2ft high and 2ft wide tank then. Finally wingsy will prob say it was 2months only due to that i posted a thread the other day asking for help as it was first day with her eyes shut and was in such a rush to find help i put 2 months instead of 5 weeks. just thought i let know so not deal with this man again

I think you will all find that the animal was in perfct health when it was sold as you can all see from the adverts that i posted for the sale in the first place.I have now been threatened by this so called good cham keeper and this tells me that the up keeping of this cham was not as he has said.

I guess it may have appeared healthy, but if it was WC firstly that means you are false advertising, and secondly that it should have been checked/vaccinated and what ever needed to be done.It must have got the parasites from somewhere, and I doubt it was from a new cage set-up.

I did not take her to the vets because she was fine. She came out of her viv and interacted all the time. She always ate her food and drank water off her branches when watered. She was always supplied with water and was always kept clean,
But anyway we can argue about this all day long but i know the way in which my chams are all kept and they are all in good condition,And as far as i can see a good health cham speaks for its self,Correct me if i am wrong by all means.

obviously wernt ok though was she wingsy, she had parsites which were eating her from inside , why she so thin. no offence mate be man and admit you were wrong instead trying make 20 year old look like a idiot call me childish but i can admit my mistakes but you cannot, who needs grow a pair then? can argue she was drinking and was eating exactly what she was doing with me but like i said and do think is argument winner vet and man with 30 years experience ( how many have you got) both said it was parasites and both adamant WC. how can argue with that inless you vet then you cant

What's the point of this thread?

He said this and she said that, who's really bothered other that the buyer and seller.
Wouldn't this be kept to private messages?

no because its letting people know not to buy of the seller because he is saying they are cb when they are really wc and full of parasites, thats the point of the thread.
