It's rather like the Top Shelf Exotics thread over at the Board of Inquiry. He got caught out selling a load of fake hets - captive-farmed baby royals sold for het-pied, het-albino, het-ghost prices, and with horrific health problems to boot. He dropped off of the face of the earth the same year that his first fake hets could reasonably be assumed to be of breeding weight - and as yet nobody has proved out their hets at all.

I wouldn't use Chris at TSE as a courier either. It's not the specific business or problem... it's about the reliability of the *person*.

Meko likes mixing things up and unfortunately he's managed to confuse an important point for some people.

The 'company' IS John McCulley, it is not a separate entity that he is associated to. As a sole trader, the 'company' is only as trustworthy and reliable as the individual. As an individual he has repeatedly and deliberately scammed, lied, deceived, knowingly sold sick and dying animals on numerous occasions and almost certainly acted illegally in his dealings. Even under the guise of Noah's Ark Couriers he has constantly lied and deceived several people to cover his tracks.

As several people has pointed out, this is not a thread about some poor, innocent courier company that got caught in the middle, it is about John McCulley and the many different scams and names he's been using. One of those identities happens to be a courier company that has appeared under suspicious circumstances.

noah's ark are nothing but disrespectful scampers....They turned up at my home 4 days after the agreed date at 4am in the morning waking and upsetting my children...The was demanding to take the tegu and refused to go away so i had to physically threatened before they went beeping the hooter..
The buyer has now taken a paypal dispute to try and get a refund of them and is still waiting....

I think Meko is putting legitimate things forward here as are others though.

There has been a massive thread about J amd M as well with bad communication and times etc. Now I dont know if this is J and M or JM as there seems to be another name here and i wont try and differentiate as I dont know.

Post a couple above am i getting it right you refused the Tegu as it arrived late and early in the morning? Bit confused there! Although unacceptable time to arrive seems weird you did not take it!

Im wondering on the snake weight thing has he tried to deceieve here or has he imported expecting a certain weight and they have come in at another weight, if hes offered refunds as stated above or partial refunds is there actually a problem there.

Ive bought some cresties recently which had come from US andwas expecting 8-9 month old but they came in at about amonth old. Seller contacted me about this and I still accepted them, they were hoping to get a breeding trio for themselves as well! But I was communicated on this.

I have actually been to Johnnyboys house as i bought a Chile Rose from him a few months back. He seemed a nice lad but seemed to be swapping a trading a lot of different things supposedly with mates. the Chile was supposed to be a PX and he had also traded in some other Ts at a local pet shop and didnt know what they were and sold them for peanuts. Shame as one was a beautiful white knee which I wouldnt have minded having for what he sold it to the shop for and there was no way I was paying the price the shop was subsequently selling it for.

In his house or his parents house he lives in a seperate section of it and has one very large viv with an albino python in it and then a stack or rubs with about 6 snakes in.

I saw no beardies so imassuming these had already sold.

Local shop says hes always after different things but knows nothing about them.

and as Vicky above pointed out he had asked Liam about coming in on a deal with snake importing.

can supply address if anyone needs it to sort out a deal gone wrong or whatever but still dont think the courier service should be bought into this if legit.

Im a sole trader and my dealings elsewhere have nothing to do with my business. Im Nic B-c but my business is not me if you see what i mean.

Im not Vat registered as my turnover is too low and Im not registered at company house as like courier business Im not Ltd.

I dont know anymore of the ins and outs though.

J&M Couriers is NOT affiliated with or to Noah's Ark Couriers.

If I'm reading it rightly, Midnightworrior was saying that the *collection* of a Tegu he owned (that was to be delivered elsewhere) was scheduled for four days previous to when Noah's Ark actually turned up (and they never showed up on the scheduled day) - and when they DID show up it was four days late and at 4AM... and the tegu had already been collected by a *different courier* because Noah's Ark didn't collect on the scheduled day.

John stated to me that there would be NO refund or partial refund on the PayPal dispute and refused to respond to our attempts at negotiation.

The "full refund" offered on the forum thread was conditional on Noah's Ark Couriers (i.e. John) picking up the snakes and delivering them back to Craig Ford (i.e. John) BEFORE we got any money back (from John) - and with no promise of how or when we'd get the money back after his snakes were returned to him, since he "couldn't" refund the Paypal transactions. As my partner Onissarle quite rightly pointed out, all he'd have had to do is collect the snakes, throw away the signed piece of paper confirming they'd been collected and say we never returned them.

He was ALSO fully aware of the size of the snakes; Bob Clark specifically told him they were *small* 08s and he intentionally advertised them at 300+ grams to get better prices.
