BUYER BEWARE – Noah’s Ark Couriers/Jonnyboy/Craig Ford

Working in web design you'd think I'd have pointed that out to Onissarle and told him "write for the web, dammit!"

I *know* most people don't read websites, they skim them. I'm one of the exceptions - I *read* posts, and I read between the lines of posts as well - but then I had rather expected that if someone "didn't get" something, they'd go back and read to find out why it was they didn't get it

Besides, the tippy-tappy of the keyboard - at least in my line of work - makes it sound like I'm working!

The man is a proven scam artist. I still have people PMing me to tell me how they were scammed by him. Not just on royals but on all sorts of animals. Various species of snake significantly smaller and younger than described and in poor condition. Selling an animal that never existed in one case and numerous people saying they received animals from him with serious health problems. He's been scamming people on RFUK continuously in different ways for at least six months and possibly longer than that under other usernames.

He blamed all his customers for how terrible his first run was while other couriers seem to manage just fine. He blamed all the customers for the conditions the animals were transported in but he was the one selling some of those animals and had packed their transit boxes himself. I've also now got reason to believe that many of the snakes he sells live in the shipping boxes he receives them in until he can sell them and deliver them in the same boxes.

He has broken agreements, refused to refund for misrepresented, sick, and dead animals (and was very reluctant to refund for one that never existed in the first place) and I'm still waiting for him to provide proof of his vehicle inspection cerificate, DEFRA type 2 authorisation, and relevant insurance to operate as a courier considering his 'courier company' appeared from nowhere in the space of three days. Even if he did get the paperwork, he was deliberately lying to another courier service to con better prices out of them.

As "Noah's Ark Couriers" he has repeatly lied both publicly on the forums and in private to try and cover up his multiple identities and scams attached to them. He even tried to send us to a phony address for 'Craig Ford' who doesn't even exist. I can go through all the forum posts from "Noah's Ark Couriers" quoting them and pointing out the constant stream of lies if you really need me to.

The man and the courier are one and the same thing, if you can't trust the man, you can't trust the courier. Here's a theoretical example of why...

I buy three breeding weight het pied female royals from 'Jim' for £1500. John picks them up as "Noah's Ark Couriers". We know John has no qualms about substituting animals, misrepresenting animals and obtaining money from people through deception so what if he takes a liking to those snakes for his own breeding? All he does is swap the snakes for three normals he's got and delivers those snakes to me. I open the box and inspect the animals, they are smaller than advertised and don't appear to match the photos I was given. I contact the seller to complain and they swear blind they sent me the animals in the photo. I think the seller is scamming me, the seller thinks I'm pulling a fast one on them and we proceed to rip chunks out of each other. John goes home to his new het pied female royals.

Would you honestly trust someone who has shown such shocking disregard for animal welfare and basic business ethics to take possession of your animals for any length of time, for any reason, regardless of what user name they happened to be using now? That's all Noah's Ark Couriers is when you get down to it, a new username that John decided to use so people wouldn't associate it to the scams he was running under other names. Yes, he was actively scamming people out of money while advertising as Noah's Ark Couriers.

this is one of the things that annoys me with things like this.
As soon as somebody says they got ripped off / scammed loads more people crawl out of the woodwork and start pm'ing. Very few actually post it themselves.
Do they think that people will laugh at them if they start a thread saying the got screwed over? if you've got tens of people pm'ing you then that's tens of threads and bad feedback that should have been voiced when it happened rather than letting other people get screwed over before it all comes to a head.

We weren't sure about posting our thread - on the basis that one of the basic tenets of the forum is "no name and shame".

It wasn't until I'd spoken to T-Bo and was reasonably confident that it wouldn't immediately be deleted that we posted *anything*.

the naming and shaming is just for shops isn't it?
individuals always seem to get named and shamed but it just seems like people will get ripped off and then keep quiet about it until somebody does say something. Do they actually leave negative feedback or again, keep quiet with that.

Because the moment they do, as in a lot of these type of threads recently, they get incarcerated for it. Why bother having classifieds chat at all if this is the case as no wonder people are dubious about posting whats happened to them when this is what happens.

If i was Johnnyboy here I would be seriously looking into legal action against you.

You have a beef about some lower weight snakes why not leave it there instead of every conspiracy theory under the sun you are starting to mke yourself look seriously silly here.

I will reiterate I have only met the guy once very briefly to buy a very cheap chile rosse which funnily enough he was petrified about.

I will also reiterate he had a large well maintained viv with a big albino in and a rack of about 6 rubs, no shiping containers no beardies no nothing else on show

We have a beef about:

1. A seller who advertised goods he did not have (snakes of a SPECIFIC weight).
2. A seller who provided snakes that appear not to have been fed since they arrived in the country, seeing as they are underweight for their size AND willing feeders.
3. A seller who hid behind at least three identities to cover his tracks and lied about who was who in writing and on the telephone.
4. A courier who delivered at quarter past five in the morning when the agreed time was quarter past seven AM.
5. A courier who delivered tropical-savannah snakes that were stone cold and inadequately packed (by the courier-seller - they are the SAME person).
6. A seller who sold a bearded dragon to someone back in November that died three hours after she got it home.
7. A seller who arranged a courier to bring them some goods and then take deliveries out, negotiated a lower rate based on the bulk drop-offs... and then cancelled the deliveries and thus the additional payments once the goods he wanted were delivered to him.

Funny enough, the people listed in 1 through 7... are the exact same person. He's screwed people over in multiple ways. Is it any wonder my partner theorised that "if he'll screw you this way, he might screw you in any other way he thinks he can get away with" ?

I'm glad you had a good experience with him, Nic... you appear, from what we understand, to be in the minority.
