Other than the fact that we're not actually in a financial loss situation - and you're talking about "Ssthisto could have robbed a bank to get the money to pay for the snakes she ACTUALLY bought in real life" instead of a wholly hypothetical scenario involving normals that don't exist and het pieds that are totally imaginary. If it makes you feel better, the £860 to pay for the royals we bought came from my wage working as a web designer, because we don't go out and drink or go clubbing - snakes ARE our "disposable income spend". Why tell you that? Because we don't have anything to hide. We pay our income tax, we pay our bills, and what's left over pays for snakes.

Neither of us state he COULD have already - both of us have asked "What's stopping him from doing if people continue to trust him". Please re-read that sentence until it sinks in. We are not saying, have not said, and do not say he has done so already.

You actually state these snakes are the same so why go on to add this hypothetical statement.

Same animals, not as advertised. Are you really saying that "because you got the animals you saw in the photos, you obviously got exactly what you paid for" here? Or do you see the qualitative difference between "A female fire" and "A 300-gram female fire"?

You also state the orgins of the snakes is in question itself

The origins of the snakes as stated in PMs to me were surplus breeding stock being sold off because he'd lost his job, and that the fire came from "some guy who bought them through NERD".

Absolutely no mention of their being recent and small Bob Clark imports that were basically being sold to their new buyer straight off the plane.

You seem to think I personally have a problem with you here I think.

I do not but I do like things to be portrayed in a fair and just manner, I am worried that you may have become blinkered and onblivious to this fact as you have got carried away with finding out various things.

I will now go and read the first couple of pages although I really am not sure if this will make any difference on my observations.

Yes a person if giving weights shoud state them as accurately as possible.

He could say they are ex breeding stock, hes lost his job his Aunty if Elton Johns love child to be honest its aqll rather immaterial you are after a snake hes selling at its for you to be sure that this is the animal you actually want at the agreed price.

To me if something arrived especially via courier etc I would have checked on arrival and complained then and there.

If the price was this high then this is definitely somwething I would have done there and then and if not happy got straight on the phone to rectify.

is something OTHER than a 300-gram fire female until and unless it's proven to be one? The photograph did not reveal that the snake was not 300 grams. And why exactly should I have to assume that EVERY seller is out to scam me? I advertise my animals honestly (heck, even if it takes longer to sell a stroppy, nasty, pretty Cali king than advertising "she's pretty" would have) and I expect that everyone else will do the same courtesy.

• We did check immediately on arrival.
• We took photographs of the animals on arrival, on the scales, in the presence of the delivery driver.
• We sent a WRITTEN complaint within an hour of the animals' arrival.

It only took that long because we unpacked the animals, weighed them, photographed the animals on our scales in the presence of the courier, then had to gently warm the animals before getting them onto our quarantine rack.

If we'd known the courier was run by the same person (who was deliberately concealing his identity at that point) then you can bet we'd have been having words IN PERSON with the courier on our drive at half five in the morning.

If the price was this high then this is definitely somwething I would have done there and then and if not happy got straight on the phone to rectify.

What, phoning someone at half five in the morning on the mobile number that's the ONLY piece of contact information they've given you? I must admit, at half five in the morning my mobile is usually nowhere near my person because I don't care to have people waking me up with calls to my mobile. Besides... I prefer written complaints because it's easy to say he-said, she-said with phone conversation, but the PM system keeps a record of EXACTLY what was said.

Shame he chose not to respond to that initial contact asking if we could negotiate a partial refund - we saw that he'd logged in since our having sent the message, and when he'd been given two days to respond, we wanted to see if anyone ELSE had gotten misrepresented animals too. Funny enough, we weren't alone.

I have to admit, as I said, I don't do phone conversations. I prefer everything in writing where I can go back over it and don't forget important details. So even if we'd HAD a landline number at the beginning, I would still have wanted to conduct our business and the resolution of the dispute in writing.

i am actually banging my head against the computer here.....yes debate is twosided....but come on people,ssthisto and on-somthing-or-other have put forward a succinct, researched, well put forward argument,,,,,, plus they are not the only ones to have come forward.....i thought this was about community,,,,i know i for 1 would appreciate knowing about any rep dealer/courier/phantom flan flinger, that has unscruplious business practices!!!!

unfortunately they were the first ones to come forward; then all the others came creeping out later. If people had come out with the same speed Ssthisto did then there wouldn't be as many people in the same situation.

Ive read first post now as I say I was diverted to page two initially from some other post about couriers so sorry for that.

Im am a little muddled on some of the details though.

Does seem many of his animals seem to come from so called friends as was my case with the Chile i got and the two at local pet shop, think shop had also had some snakes at some point as well.

Just remembered that hed also asked me if I had any MKI golfs for sale or knew of any, this came really out of the blue though.

Darlo Girl very sad reading about the beardies there and feel for you.

unlike you though the T I had was very cheapo and likewise the pair he sold to pet shop were even cheaper and much higher value and he seemed a little peeved when he relaised what those two were worth.

on that i have to agree......unfortunately not everyone is as well versed as ssthisto, and forums can some times be an intimadating place - not right, but unfortunatley true!!!
