BUYER BEWARE – Noah’s Ark Couriers/Jonnyboy/Craig Ford

What a horrid situation.

It is so dissapointing when things go wrong, but much worse when someone goes out of their way to scam trusting people.
It looks like a lot of people have been scammed.

Maybe RFUK should block access from that ISP address, used by JonnyBoy/Craig/Noah's Ark etc, to block active accounts and stop new accounts being set up from the same address.

I hope SSthisto and Onissarle get the refund, but I doubt that is likely.
I recently refered someone to Noah's Ark I just hope they went else where.

Very good detective work, and overall a very interesting read!!!
I am so glad that we didnt use Noah's Ark to courier the black and white tegu that we've just bought from Essex. Being from the north east myself i wouldve normally lent towards noahs ark but something just didnt seem right about them. We did what so many people have done before us, and paid up front, but luckily, it was from someone as genuine and honest as ourselves. We actualy booked Daz from G&DExotics, after he came highly recommended from several forum users, and we are more than happy with his service. Our tegu has been picked up on friday from the seller, by Daz, and he will be with us tomorrow lunch time. G&DExotics go far beyond what we would of expected for a reptile courier, and we would recommend their services to anyone. He has kept in touch and has even pm'ed us to ask permission to handle him! What more could one want?!!?

Back to the original thread i truly hope that this man is stopped in his tracks and cant mistreat another animal or take anyone elses money dishonestly.

I am sorry about the snakes and that poor dragon.
But 1 thing worries me is that this Anus as now ruined the GOOD repuation of other couriers and maybe buyers be now worried about using their services. I have hear nothing but good from 2 couriers on here. I felt for poor Daz who lost a lot of customers cos of this anus.

Surley if any buyer would use a courier that says D.E.F.R.A. reg, they should ask to see the proof before considering using couriers. I.E. make a phone call to the revalant people.
I just hope when all is sorted you get your justice and these Anus`es are locked up.
Those poor animals, hmm wonder how they feel if they were just thrown into a bag and left till they are delivered.
When i read this Noah arks threads, when he 1st offered the service a few members pulled him up on the prices, he got very defensive and then backed down. now i know why.

why has there been another account set up for noahs now called jm couriers? its in the classified section????

i have read through all the posts but im still not getting this in all.are the couriers the scammers or is it just the snakes they were selling that was the problem?

Sorry but can anyone give an abreviated post of what the actual problem was?

Was there any problems with Noahs' Ark Couriers? (i.e. service, keeping to their word etc).

I didn't read the whole original posts, sorry but was scan reading while at work. So what was the 'crime'? (in as few a words as possible please).

the issue is that Jonnyboy sold some snakes as x weight but they were roughly half the weight when they arrived.

Jonnyboy is also Noah's Ark Couriers but that has nothing to do with anything as far as i can see; just people wanting gold badges for their detective work.
So far the only problem with the courier side of things that i've seen is that some silly tart messed them about telling them to come back later and then the next day. As they do multiple drops this resulted in everybody else being messed about.

they arrived at 4am at someones house... who was extremely unhappy.. they said it was down to another customer keeping them waiting.. whether this is true or not noone knows.. however there have also been several complaints of very cold animals... and extremely bad communication.. again you would need to talk to the people who had used noahs ark courriers..

also... it has been suggested they dont have a liscence to carry animals.. you need defra certificates ONE and TWO... for journeys over 4 hours...

i would suggest anyone using courriers now ask for a faxed/ scanned copy of this.. if the courrier is unable to provide then to me.. there is somethign extremely strange going on and probably illegal..



Also if johhnyboy has been selling snakes this way he'd need a pet shop liscence for all intent and purposes... and so far suggestions have been made he does not have one... so this means the way in which he is selling these snakes is also illegal.. if he were in fact in possesion of a PSL and DEFRA certificates.. he could easily produce them..

once he has done this ( if ineeed he can do this) the main issue then becomes that he has been selling snakes grossly under the weight he calimed them to be.. which for many as you an understand is morally unacceptable in the reptile community...

I know personally I would be wanting now to make sure any service I used was above board legally...
