Default blinded by the name?

what is wrong with people? 2 years ago i sold my adult male white phase albino retic, i only got justover half what i paid for it the year before which i was very disappointed at but obviously morphs drop in value as time goes on, i really struggled to sell him at just under 10' and breedable and he went for a little over £600 recently someone has been trying to sell an (almost?) breedable female something that should command strong money for around £700
Bob clark has now come along with a 10' white phase male that hes asking a grand for and people are interested?? what planet are they off? remember it was 2 years ago that i was trying to sell mine for around £900 and what practically laughed out of the place, i really think people see a big name and are tripping over them selves to get their money out of their pockets, think about it people, were supposed to be a community of like minded people but it seems to me that all people are interested in is hammering the pennies out of each other while wasting large ammounts of cash on something that they can get over here for less money!

don't get me wrong, i respect the blokes work loads. but if i gonna buy a cb retic or cb royal, i aint gonna give a monkey's piss who bred it. the only time i worry who bred it is when making sure pairs aint related.

hi ryan long time no speak! it doesnt make sense to me, if i can get something really cheap or something that no one else has then i'd wait for it to be brought over or import it, why wait when you can get something quicker and maybe cheaper over here?

Aye its a load of old cobblers.

Works with giving the animals fancy names to. Its funny how you seem to be able to ask more for a 'Central American' Boa, rather than a 'Common' Boa lol.

The thing is its like this with everything.
I am not a massive fan of morphs as i think nature is nice as it is, but i do think they look nice and they are captive bred which is always a plus...but reguardless of that i dont understand the need for people constandlt buying animals overseas when you can get them over here

If the animal is not commonly bred over here or is extremely cheap overseas then fair enough...but its like people moan that u.k. products are being made in china, call centers are in pakistan and so on, and then they go and buy there reptiles overseas.

Look at people that pay stupid amounts for a bloody water bowl because it says exo terra on it....and might i add those exo terra stickers never come off the bloody water bowl.

same with kids,, your not cool if your clothes arent branded or if you dont have the offical FA football...if it rolls and can be kicked then its a football.

think some people just like to name drop.

Well, it all comes down to why people buy Nike shoes instead of... umm, what the heck are my shoes anyway?

Some people really are buying the brand name.

have to agree strongly with all comments i had a pair of unrelated sharp boas, not a lot has been done with these but khal`s have
bought them for 1600 as babies advertised them for almost a year wanted 1500 at 5 foot theyre well worth it in the end i was sick of idiots trying to get them cheaply off me so i decided to swap them for dwarf burmese, yes thats a grand but i`d rather do it that way than have people ripping me off as it turns out theyre lovely little snakes not as bad as people make out unless a yer a food item or 2 don`t look out for warning signs like coming up to shed etc etc
