Default Locust Breeding

Dead Easy. Get a Lucky Reptile Open air terrarium or Exo Terra Flexarium. Keep it in a warm room.

Provide a hot spot of around 100 degress F. Tub of moist sand for them to lay the eggs in, as far away from light as poss. Check sand box every couple of days and add water if needs it. LOADS and LOADS of Food. (anything green is a good tip) I always add loads of calcium to the food to gut load the locusts.

Next step is wait........................................... Maybe months.

Once you see babies its best to seperate. If you have large colonies of older locusts, its possible they will eat the babies.

I know alot of people use vivs or tanks. I prefer the net vivs for a few reasons.

1. Locusts don't like high humidity
2. Its a pain to do anything in viv, as when you open door to do anything, they all jump out. Lucky Reptile Open Air's have a small feeding hatch on the side.
3. Locusts look cool all stuck to the walls and ceilings(with large colonies)

Good Luck
