Red face Uroplatus sikorae

Thought I sent you a PM, but cannot see it in my sent box. So asking here instead...
What happened to the plan about the Uroplatus? Might be interested in some U sikorae (& maybe some U henkeli too). Probably 1.1 of each, or maybe 2.2 (or 1.3) of the U sikorae. CB would be a bonus, but would consider WC & get my own breeding project up & running.

As far as I'm aware, the import of WC Uroplatus sp was banned in Europe several years ago.

yup thats correct, thank god. i cannot belive tehse are still taken out of the wild, considering how rare they are getting.
Even if i could (and i probably could get WC ones in illegally) i would never dream of doing so.

OP nothing done yet, as i said when i know more, i will contact people

Yep, same here. Sadly, it really does make you wonder just how close to extinction they need to come before they are finally upgraded to Appendix 1. Such a shame that the USA etc still allow the import of WC animals.

Hi Gina,

Seems like you've had a fair bit of interest on these..not suprising.

Stick me down on your list of interested people, would ideally like a pair of Lineatus, but depending on the money situation when it comes ordering, i may have some other species.

Best of luck with this to both of you, it's about time Uroplatus Sp. were available in the UK.

Regards

Sarah
