Trying to answer you questions here, well I think there must be/or have been , a snake because he definately did try to book through this Courier. My concern now is that the snake is/or was, not as described. Reading the old thread he has been selling snakes seriously under the weights he stated, probably not the age he stated either. Another member had reptiles delivered which were so ill one died during the night after delivery.

As regards paypal it depends on the method you pay as to whether you are covered by their returns policy. I am making enquiries but am not holding my breath.

1. I dont know what to do for the best. I have asked for a refund but been told I will have to wait until the snake is sold to someone else. This has been some time now and he has stopped answering my emails when I ask if it has been sold.

2. Should I be considering having it if it is not the weight stated or age? Or would I be better off with at least a snake than no snake and no money?

3. I have his address as supplied by the Courier. If he wont answer my mails how can I arrange anything anyway?

Firt of all may I just say that I am deeply sorry for your recent loss, I cannot begin to imagine what you must be going through.

As far as the snake is concerned, you have stated you want your money returned. If he fails to return said money then he is technically (I believe) guilty of theft.

As you have his full name and address I would be contacting the police and notifying them of what has occurred.

I believe they will take this seriously, especially given this person's previous history, much of which has been recorded here and no doubt on many other forums.

This guy is now a known scammer and is not going to give up until legal action is taken to stop him.

It is unspeakably cruel to do this to you at this time and shows he has no shame. I wish you the best of luck. xxxx

This is just awful. Fistly, very sorry to hear about your husband. Makes it even worse that Jim/Johnny/whoever carried on messing you about knowing what your situation was.

If you can get someone to go and see the snake and it is as described then that is one thing - only if they take it away with them. I suspect he'll say it isn't at his house - if he even responds. But, yes, I'd be worried about having it too given what people who did recieve snakes from him thought. Have you seen the snake advertised anywhere in an attempt to sell it and get you your money back? As for paypal, if it wasn't a gift isn't there a time limit? I've always wondered if he mucks about with delivery dates till its too late to lodge a complaint with paypal - but I don't know much about paypal.

One thing good here is the behaviour of the courier. They did a very good thing refusing to deal with him, making you aware of who he was and also passing on that email.

I would take the snake and hope to cut my losses if im honest. From the looks of things this guy has caused all sorts of problems before and people seem to always get their fingers stung.

Yes I agree about the Courier and that is why at the moment I am not naming them. I have said my own thank you to them.

To be honest BlueRoses i'd be tempted to just drop him a mail and ask him to go ahead with couriering the snake as though nothing has happened. The courier has his address as he gave it to them himself; its better to have the snake than nothing and no money.
