Having had 30-40 house ferrets that had free roam for over 4 hours a day they never produced that much poop.
She didnt' say it was cleaning day and indeed went straight back upto her mothers house as I left. Which is where she was when I got there.
I'm not going into details as she apparently can't get on here herself but enough to say the downstairs was not the only place I went and it was just as bad upstairs. To the point I did not use the toilet and I was absolutely pee'ing myself.

Having said that if that is the way a person chooses to live then it is upto them but I would not want my animals, nor my children, to have to live in that kind of squalor.

I have wondered if Emma and the bairn actually live with her mother, using herhouse as an 'animal house', as I find it almost impossible to concieve she would have her son live in the house as it was when I last visited.

I can only reiterate that I hope Emma can sort everything out as she does not intend to cause harm or suffering to her pets in any way and obviously is a very caring person. It's just not fair on the herself, her son or the animals to have so many without the ability to cope with them.

I recently decided to cut down on a few animals I had as my OH is in and out of hospital so I am not able to manage the ones who need most care. I therefore cut down by around 20+ animals.
I realised and acted within a few weeks so as not to cause any harm to the animals in question.

How recently has Emma changed her vet????
we must have been on the good days then, as i know her carpet was a little on the tatty side but there wasnt skunk poo piled high. i know skunks produce one hell of a lot of poop ownin 2 myself but ours are on lino so its easier to scoop up and you wouldnt even be able to tell its been there, suppose its different with carpet.

As for the vet im not sure how recently she changed, have yet to ask her that.

as far as I can remember i think emma changed her vets back end of last year or Jan this year, as she always used 2... one for her dogs and one for her exotics... So i 'think' she moved them all to the one where her dogs were at as the majority of her animals were already registered there...

Well i've watched this thread from the start ...... i'll add my two penny worth too.
I've known Emma for a year or two and i live fairly local to her. I have always thought she was mad for keeping the amount of animals she does and wondered how the hell she copes! but.... SHE DOES!!!!
I have been to her house on a number of occasions and the worst i've seen is a bit of poo in one of the cages!lol
Yes you can smell the dogs... especially if you dont keep dogs yourself, but i can vouch her dogs along with the skunks and other animals have always been in good health, watered , fed and exercised and kept in good conditions as long as i've known her.
I've seen some of Emmas 'tic/tick' dealings... i've seen she's paid for animals BEFORE she's collected them, i've seen she's paid for animals AFTER she already had them in her possesion.
This particular thread i'm ...like most people here, not qualified to answer. But on her cleanliness issues .... everyone has different standards ... right or wrong.
I think some people giving their opinions here should totally keep their opinions to themselves, if you have no dealings with Emmaj in any way WTF are you on about??????
Given that pouchie has problems with Emmaj .... i can see 'things' need to be sorted and issues ironed out.
sorry for the long reasoning but Emma has helped a lot of people, helped a lot of animals and given a lot of good advice/help/aid regarding animals.
I hope all issues get sorted soon regarding this thread... but i hope it doesnt turn out to be a witch hunt!

Could vet bills etc with Nuka not be partly responsible for Emma's cash flow problems (if she has any that is) She seemed to pay her vets bills or make arrangements regarding them. So I think it unfair that people as speculating that she can't pay her vets bills.

Emma told me in January she was using the PDSA for all her animals.

One thing I am not is a liar and I did in fact see what I saw.
I'm not against Emma helping out others but there is a line that you have to draw and I, personally, think Emma has taken on a lot too many to manage herself.
I was in fact involved in an act of 'help' she gve to someone and their animals. it seemed a fantastic resolution to a temporary problem at the time but when the animals were returned to the owner they were very thin and didnt' seem to have been cared for adequately. When I delivered them to Emma they were fit and well.

I forgot about PDSA being mentioned.

If what is being said is true then it is a reminder to us all to know your limitations. Us involved in rescue will tell you no matter how much you want to "you just can't help them all" You have to weigh everything up. It is financially, mentally and physically draining. Maybe Emma has just got in over her head

standards differ from person to person we are all aware of this.. but when photogaphs and visual eye accounts.. and several.. then more than several people have had issues with payments.. being told animals have died.. only to see identical ones being sold.. this isnt just ONE person.. its a fair few all with similar accounts.. why would they ALL lie the same lies.. it makes absolutely no sense.. and photos do NOT lie

i have not heard one single personal word said against Emma.. not one.. only genuine serious concerns over her ability in her animal keeping, financial dealings and ability to genuinely cope...

be very careful of accusing a group of people who have sat on this for a long time scared to say anything for fear of reprisal that they are having a witch hunt..
People have been far too worried to express their dealings and issues till now.. even still some are.. they dont want to be jumped on for explaining their experiences with people perceived to be wonderful on RFUK

right i have read through llof this and umm'd and ahh'd about whether to reply or not,
last year some of you will remember i was desperate to move as i was on such a bad estate anyway we finally had the chance and i had to permanantly rehome some animals and temporarily rehome some, some of which were 3 cats anyway emma offered to have them and as one was a baby i thought maybe it would be better to rehome her full time so emma asked as she was taking the others on could she have her and i agree'd,
maybe i should have gone and seen for myself but this wasnt possible and going on her threads and friends on here i let the cats go to her, anyway my daughter was peeing the bed and really upset with the thought of never seeing one of them again and so coupled with what i was told about how she lived i said i wanted them all back and would arrange to collect them soon, this she agreed to and the next thing i knew i had a nasty pm off someone i thought was friend on here, so i asked emma why she hadnt come to me etc and then she posted on here to which i got a lot of stick from a lot of people,
we moved i had no net and when i came back there was a thread full of people insulting me etc, so i ignored it and havent used the forum much since.
she asked me for huge amount of money as she had been to vets etc i said i couldnt afford all at once and would pay 10 per week, which i started and by the time i got 2 of my cats by a few weeks ago i owed her about 30 which she "let me off" with.
so the day for collection we got there, went in the cats were in 2 of emma's carriers one of the cats was coughing and sneezing and had a runny eye when it came to putting them into my carriers she did it kinda stopped me from opening them, she had asked how do i put weight on one of them (which once we saw the state my partner said he thought that was her making excuses before i saw them) when we got in the car i removed one from her carrier and she was incredibly thin(i havent mentioned any of this to emma since as i wanted nothing more to do with her, i had paid her around £160 altogether to look after my cats and they werent looked after)
they are both now upto full health and little fatties.
anyway i am worried about the condition of the cat i left there as i wasnt given the option to see her, we saw 1 skunk which had crusties around its eyes and nose.
and the house stank of pee, now im not saying emma is a bad keeper i think perhaps she has issues and she has taken on far too much and cant or wont admit it to herself or anyone else, her house wasnt a place to be bringing up a dog in never mind a child.
so maybe what someone said earlier tht she perhaps lives at her mums with her son would be better.
emma if your reading this i am sorry it has come to this but it has been a long time coming as i am not the only one, i think you need to admit your "issues" and cut down to a manageable amount. i know i am happy to take ruby back and others would be happy to take the animals you had form them back.
i am willing to help in anyway i can but didnt know how to approach it with you.
