![]() Selling/Buying Rules Livestock Sales Rules This forum is provided as a privilege for members to buy, sell or swap surplus livestock. 1. Sellers need to have been a member for 30 days and have contributed to by making 50 posts in reefing forums before they can advertise items for sale. 2. No commercial sellers. At the discretion of the owner or a moderator these will be removed. The owner’s decision is final. 3. All negotiations and questions must be posted on the sales thread and NOT by PM. Communications may only be taken to PM once the sale and price has been agreed upon on the open forum and payment/collection details need to be given. The agreement of the time and date of collection or postage, or confirmation that items have been posted should also be posted in the thread. 4. Sales must include a photograph of the item plus a full tank picture showing the parent colony for inverts or a tank shot of the fish. 5. I dont see a problem with people having different threads for different types of item. Why would you put your corn snake and laptop in the same thread?
Whats more annoying is people making multiple thread after thread for the same animal. Then bumping it ever 20 minutes. If noone wants it, making a new thread isnt going to convince them!?! The other thing is people misrepresenting animals as something they arent. There are a couple of dodgy royal python threads on at the moment selling snakes that are obviously not what they state however someone who isnt sure may well get taken for a ride. Ah well. Maybe they could have classifieds moderators who ONLY have moderation rights for classifieds and nothing else? Wouldnt affect much else that way.

Guess we all have our pet hates when it comes to classifieds.
I was recently offered 3 snakes, the seller quoted ' money isnt that important, more the fact they go to a good home' i was invited to make a reasonable offer. I did, and was told it wasnt enough, it took numerous offers until the seller actually told me the figure they had in mind!! Why the hell asjk for offers if you know how much you want? To me its just sellers hoping you will offer more than they wanted, sheer greed and also annoying as hell for buyers! |

No, i dont mean more mods on the forum in general. More like people to police and clean up the classifieds.
To be fair 90% of what gets posted on the forum doesnt go into the classifieds so some 'classified mods' wouldnt really affect most of the place.
