What a bar steward
Name and shame perhaps if hes a user on here? Also if you have his name etc on the cheque could you not go to a branch of the bank who he has his account with and see if they can suggest anything? At the end of the day it is a sort of theft.

I Had Someone Say They Would By Him And Collect Him This Week Which Made Me Turn Down Another Sale And Ever Since Iv Heard Nothing From Him. London Again. It Does Make Me

Keep presenting the cheque, as often as you can - he'll get charged £25 odd pounds a go.
Small claims will take some time.. Is it a landline tel'no? If so there are easy ways of getting the address. Then you can pay him a visit.

hes finally emailed back after i said i had his address and was comming to get my snakes back, reakons hes sent 3 recorded delivery cheques , none of which have a arrived, ive big timed learned my lesson just a shame any trustworthy people with viable cheques will get tard with the same brush, what a tosser eh!, stew

When the cheque came back to you did it have a 'reason code'? Not sure if they do that with personal accounts but when I've had business cheques bounce they tell you why - well vaguely anyway.
If it's bounced, then yes, keep trying to pay in. They'll keep getting charged. If it's been cancelled then you can be pretty sure they meant to scam you all along. And the banks, in my experience, will be no help whatsoever. Sorry. Hope you get your cash.

Its beyond a joke how some people can be,there will never be no justice in the world.
And most people are tursting before hand,im just glad they got a traders feeback on here because i check that out first. I hope you can kick that person in the arse and get your money.

what is up with some people?! its disgusting how they can just take someone elses money! sorry for all you that have lost out big time. its totally not fair!
recently, theres been lots of 'eggs' on classifieds trying to sell items of £100+. what a joke! but then, some people will just send the money through paypal not thinking that i could be a scam!  decent sellers/buyers on here should be given some kind of symbol next to their name so we can tell who are not the scammers.
