Scammer sellers beware!!!!!!!!!!!

ADAM TURNER, LONDON AREA,
collected some snakes from me and paid by cheque, also apparently hes supposed to work in london zoo, ( after ringing them theyve never heard of him) his cheque has bounced nearly £300, and he reakons hes sent out another atleast 3 cheques to me ( none of which have arrived)
wont return emails or answer phone, i have his home number, but dont know how to find his address, hes a slippery prat, anyone heard of this guy? OR KNOW HOW TO FIND AN ADDRESS FROM A PHONE NUMBER, GIVE US A SHOUT,, i know i shouldnt have been trusting to accept his cheque, unfortunatly im a trusting person,
BANK WONT HELP JUST TOLD ME TO REPAY THE CHEQUE IN
POLICE YOU CAN IMAGINE WERE NO USE OR ORNAMENT AS USUALL,

I cant really help here but i know that some people on here are nothing but scammers and are quick to steal peoples reps and do a runner.

Have you tried to google his name, username and tried Facebook, Bebo etc... May help to trace him.

Is he a frequent user on here and if so what is his username.

Hope you get your money or reps back.

I totally empathize with you. There seems to be a crop of people with either low principals, or downright dishonesty, just lately on here. Cant your bank get his details from his bank as it was a cheque involved?

thanks guys, thanks to some very clever person on here,
i may have the info i require
have niether my money or snakes back as yet, but hes gonna quickly find himself in hot water now, ill let the small claims court deal with him and then he, ll be really out of pocket,
i did a facebook search, he has an account but no friends ( dosent seem he uses it) done some googling also , so think were in business know, this has made me twice as wise now, wont be as trusting again, many thanks again stew

Thats a good idea. Maybe put it in 3 days before the last day of the month so it actually clears on the last day incase he takes all money on pay day

you need to hit it as soon as the money goes in. If you do it 3 days before then it clears in your bank on the third day so there won't be any in when they try to take it from their account

NEVER part with the animal till the cheque has cleared.
Let people know before they come to collect the snake that it is cash only or they can't take the snake till the payment has cleared.

I was once given a cheque for £5,000 for some snakes.
I held on to the snakes and handed the cheque in to the bank knowing it would not clear.
The cheque bounced
Some people are just chancers.

They will make you feel guilty by saying things like "don't you trust me "
I just say when it comes to money I don't trust anyone till the payment is cleared.
I've had several cheques bounce and even stopped, even by two buyers on this forum.
