Default Infuriated and frustrated by a member

We are always encouraged to keep disputes/complaints in private via pm or email, and not to have 'slanging matches' on the public forum, and to try and settle any issues between the parties concerned yes ???
Well to the best part I agree with this, but what I have found absolutely infuriating is that when you aim to do just that, the other party disables their PM messaging and 'goes invisible' so that no one can see them online or see their last activity.

A member on here approached me asking about some baby Royals I had hatched. This was even before I put an ad up. I explained they were not yet ready, but sent pics. I was asked a lot of questions.... did I keep feeding/shedding records? ( well yes of course I do ) ' I would prefer them to have eaten 4 or 5 times is this ok?' (Well yes of course it was) etc etc etc. The 'buyer' was sent more pictures and decided he liked the look of one and asked to buy it 'when ready' I kept in regular contact and let him know when it had 5 feeds. He said he would collect after he had 'finished his 7 days on at work' so we agreed on Tuesday evening this week ( yesterday )
Meantime he contacted me about another 'for sale' I had of a corn snake, and asked what would be the best price I could do if he bought both. I thought, fair enough, and gave him a discount which he said was 'cool' and confirmed the total price saying 'right well I will have both'. More pm's flowed and he was telling me about a 'rescue' royal he had acquired. I was trying to give a few tips on getting it feeding. It fed. He asked me to send him my address details just before he came to collect 'in case he lost them' so I did, along with a mobile number. He didnt confirm receipt of these details so I pm'd to make sure he had got them and he then replied that he had, and he was 'looking forward to meeting me and the snakes'
As I work, I asked what time I could expect him to arrive? No reply. I asked again. No reply. Well anyway, I rushed straight back home last night to await him. Well you will have guessed by now that I waited all night. Before bedtime I sent a Pm asking what the situation was and got the automated reply that this member had disabled his PM's. As he didnt show up as online all night, and his 'last activity' status was also missing, I can only assume he had gone online 'invisible' too.
Now this has really upset me. He had my phone number, why could he not do the decent thing, regardless as to reason. If he couldnt 'face me' he could have Pm'd. Now he is trying to avoid a confrontation by switching off his pm service etc.
Get back to me..... you know who you are...... if not, everyone else will know too. Thank you.

Same thing happened to me hun,

GothGirl was selling broken heatmats to make a quick buck, refused to listen to any of my PM's so I was forced to post it in this forum where she suddenly changed her tune to 'oh of course I'll sort it out, i'll send you a new one', denied she even knew it was broken.

Did she sort it out, Nope, never got the new heatmat. Just anouther lie that proves to me she was selling dodgy stuff to make cash. Its a shame some people can treat other members with such contempt.

You have my sympathies.

Weeks went by when I could have sold to a couple of other people who expressed interest, but by now they will have bought elsewhere. It's the being strung along right up to the last minute that gets me.

Having read your previous thread regarding this issue I hardly think that's a fair comment to make about the girl.....

Happens more and more lately, the amount of timewasters that appear really genuine about wanting an animal is alarming at the moment. Have you sent them an email instead as under everyones profile in the contact bit there is an option to email instead. Just to let them know what you think of them.

Yes I was going to do this, just to keep it private between us, but hey guess what?

''Sorry! That user has specified that they do not wish to receive emails.''

If you PM the moderators and tell them they will email the person for you, I had a member pay a £20 deposit on a jacket then never pay the next
£70 when the agreed date came, I numerousely PM'd her over a week but couldn't email her, I pm'd the mods and they emailed her regarding the issue on my behalf, they won't give you their email but they will email them for you.

Thank you. I did see that message when I tried. I just wonder whether its worth spending any more time and effort on this tbh
