Default how dowe get around the light bulb problem!

hi, i was just wondering how we are going to get around the light bulb problem. i went to the local diy store to get some white spotlights and unfortunately i found that they are no longer going to stock them once they have been sold. what do we do then!!!

Reptile manufacturers will still stock them.

Yep they will BUT at 5 times the cost for the same bulb.

Anyway lots of online store as it is only the pearl type lights that are now banned from sale at the moment..

Try R80
as an example.

Or use ceramic for the heat and a nice 'earth saving' low energy lamp for the light?

Yet another example of our masters 'knowing what's best' for the ignorant masses?

i found that all the places i have been are just selling them off. they are not getting any more in as i asked.

Find an electrical trade place near where you live, you should be able to get ordinary baynet spot bulbs whatever wattage you want and get yourself some red glass paint from your local craft shop and paint them, thats what ive been doing they look just the same as reptile shop red bulbs and a hell of a lot cheaper,(i dont mean infrared bulbs, i mean the ordinary red spotbulbs) which are quite hard to find.

What about the halogen lights? Yeah they cost quite a bit compared to the tungsten ones, but theys still do the same job. Don't they?

Red spotbulb - look for Disco equipment bulb suppliers..
