lmbmarine * scammer

Hi there, thought I would start a thread to see how many other members have had dealings with lmbmarine ( Matt Winsor ) here on RFUK. I know I have been pm'ed by at least 4 other members allready, maybe more.

this is my story so far.

I paid £70 for a samsung tocco off the guy on the 23rd by the agreement it would be sent "special delivery" so i would get it next day ( expected yesterday 25th ) When I have asked for the tracking number I got the number BR091514776GB When I go online to track it says it is a signed for package and that only after delivery can I check its destination. however when I phone royal mail they cannot find the parcel on their system atall.

My problem is this, around 4 other people that bought things from him off the forum have all got the same tracking number for their goods. He is increasingly hard to get hold of and I know other people have been waiting a lot longer than me for the goods and have paid alot more than me for their items.

I recieved a phone call from him yesterday, he assured me that he is not a scammer and that he has sent out my item, and that he must have got mixed up with the tracking numbers as he had sent out 18 other things all around the same time. I was willing to take his word for it but the amount of people that have been in touch with me shows there is something dodgy here.

Matt please if you are reading this you need to make contact with all of us and clear this up. You said on the phone you are not a scammer so please clear it all up.

i bought the plastic plants for £19 posted i emailed him yesterday and he replyed saying that he had posted them on Tuesday because of a postal strike in his area on Monday.

i was the first person to buy anything of him it was the plastic plants and he sed he would sent them the day after he recieved money i have sent him manys pms when hes online and he hasnt replyed and he give me a fake number if i could get the money back id forget about it or if he has got the plants id rather have them but i dont think im going to get any back so its a shame that people could take money of others i just think its wrong if hes short on money then just get a job instead of robbing people am so pissed of right now it was ment to be for my new whites tree frog tank but i cant now as i have to make the money agen

I've paid him £150 for a fishing item,he said he posted it on a 48hr delivery and gave me the same tracking number as all of you...hes a fuckin scumbag

If people have paid via paypal I would suggest they open up their disputes and quote this thread along with the information about the tracking number. Giving the same tracking number to multiple people is extremely suspicious.

It may be a genuine mistake and if so, you can always close the paypal claim but if intentional I suspect the earlier you all start the claims the better and it may get the paypal account suspended until he responds with an explanation.
