mine were origionally wc, i had them for a few yrs, but i heard that the person i sold them to did get eggs of them a few weeks after i sold them to him, so was unlucky for me lol, sold them very quickly as you rarely get cb babies available.

I have the most stunning red tailed racer!!!
By far my favorite snake of all time. Well worth the 8 hour round trip drive my OH had to make to get him for me. (My OH is a star!!!) I had looked for years and then suddenly one appeared in a pet store (will rack my brain to remember name?very well known one though) and so I pounced- even though I was on holiday in africa at the time. The only thing to remember is they need space. They dont need space because they are big- they need space because they never stop moving!!! Mine is on the prowl all day long. When I got him he was 3 foot long and so I was advised to put him into a 2 foot viv. Well, that never happened- he went straight into a 4x2x2 and I still think he can use more space. He has amazing eyesight, is not nervous of me and just does his own thing. When I take him out he is fast! He just wants to fly. So there is a bit of tail whipping which you need to get used to. Also a bit of bluff and puff. (I dont know many other snakes that do it, other than thai beauties etc.) Mostly it is the speed. Mine was captive bred, which was what I insisted on. It cost me about £180. But it was from a pet shop. Direct from a dealer would be cheeper. There are no dealers on here that I know of though. I did see some snakes on offer on classifieds for a lot less, but then the dealer admitted they had mites. He said they were cb, but I have my doubts. He wanted £100 for a pair. Good luck with finding them. I have a gtp and was planning to get more, or an emerald and when I got this redtailed racer I dropped the whole idea. There is only one snake for me!!! He is my best ever!!!

I remember now! I got mine from snakes 'n' adders. Just phone around a lot and keep your eyes open. They do come up often, but are not always worth buying. Mine is perfect in every way. Worth the wait.
And he has never bitten me. Bitten my husband a few times, but so far it loves me as much as I love it! ![]()
