My other (and better) half advertises on a couple of sites and it's not just RFUK that's full of ill mannered and ignorant morons. BUT, and it's a BIG but, this is the only site where the terminally idiotic get their jollies posting and PM'ing utter tripe in the guise of an enquiry.

The number of threads where the same few 'names' raise the same questions time after time is beyond belief. The self appointed guardians of advertising standards appear again and again even when they obviously have no intention of buying the article that's offered for sale - always sharing their vast and extensive knowledge of every subject under the sun, whether it's a technical point or their views on breed standards. Doesn't seem to matter if they are also showing their vast and extensive bullpoo too...

Thankyou for the reminder

indeed its true, I have recently been called a timewaster because i think its rude to hound people, and because i wasnt sent pictures of the reptile i wanted to buy at 2in the morning the time the person pm'd me, i didnt say nothing and waited because i am aware people have a life. But apparently my WAITING...all of one day is classed as time wasting but i had already asked 3 times for the pics and nothing but never complained...

Some people.

When people say something to me without any context, I will say something equally random back to them. TBH, I wouldnt want any animals I have bred to go to someone not intelligent to write a simple sentence.

Next time you get a message saying 'how much', just PM them back saying 'elephants'

if everybody put ALL the facts on the 1st post whenever possible, then it would save everyone a lot of time.. less pms too...
PRICE, PICTURES, LOCATION, OTHER ITEMS IN (VIV ETC), DELIVERY OPTION... HOW DO YOU WANT MONEY???
SO bloody simple, annoys the crap outta me when people dont put a price.. i will read it, but i simply will not buy, i will not ask, i should not have to ask.

what a lot of people seem to forget is no matter what text can come accross nasty no matter what
and think how many people text by phone then come accross on a forum
i always try to use manners when i can
please and thank you aren't hard to use tbh
must admit there seems to be a lot of people even when price adn age are in the advert ask anyway sems its a haggle thing
also peoples attitudes have changed over the years (a lot due to bad diet lack of exercise etc etc and just in the news additives that were thought to be safe and are not to blame for high blood pressure everywhere)
only takes a minute to step back take a deep breath and relax
don't let them wind you up lol

I always use please and thank you and have only had one problem where the person was impatient, pushy and downright rude, especially when I met them. I was actually very upset.

One time, back to what you're saying, I had a PM for one of my cresties saying:

"Courier to Surrey?"

The above person actually had no posts. Also I think it was pretty rude, whenever I am enquiring, and get a reply, I always thank them for getting back to me too lol!

At the end of the day, you just need to try and seive through the crap and move on. I can be picky who I sell to, as can quite a few others on here I have spoken too, but usually only when these "three word" people contact you.

Why breed an unhealthy animal? - Get the idea yet?

DO YOUR READING BEFORE YOU START BREEDING!

GlasgowGecko: IF you breed two animals and the resulting offspring exhibit reduced fitness, you MUST purge the system (this does not mean termination, but they should NEVER be bred). This is the only way to get passed it.

Is it really so hard to do some reading, use some common sense and ask a few questions BEFORE you buy the animal?
