OK so he finally decides to text me back, the summary is as follows:

My response in bold

- I said to make it easier I can get steve (who everyone agrees seems like a decent guy) to collect it from his address, he replied that steve would cause too much aggro

- I'm hassling him too much and he asked for my bank details so he can refund the money. I thought this was excellent. I ahve also told him about this thread so he might log on

- he told me i lost out on a great deal as im too impatient (lol after what he did yday) and if he posted it on friday it would have been here today. Wow I would have had it on a sunday? Even with the postal strike? He replied yes as it would have been recorded delivery. lol

-Then I said forget everything and give me my refund, he asked me for my full name for the transaction so i told him i want the money today.

Will see how it goes or if he even bothers to give me my refund, but like steve said he just wants to stall.

He said he doesn't wantto meet steve even in a neutral place as its too dark for him lol, i just said pay me back my money and he said he will try to pay it back today - not sure if i will ever see the money again but this has really put me off buying from RFUK

dont let one a...hole put you off the majority of people on RFUK, most people are great to deal with, if ever you do buy again ask around, open a thread asking if anyone knows the seller

Dont give him too long before you go to the police though, when my friend goes in tomorow he is putting a trace on his number, as long as it isnt a pay as you go he can find his addy, mind you if it is and he has topped up with a debit/credit card he can get the addy from that

More like he's going to refund you and post the item because he doesn't want the police involved.
Hope he actually sends it to you and you get your money back... what a total time waster. At least nobody else will buy from him using that username... though he could easily create a new account

Well he has got his mate to lend him some money and his mate has transferred the money and he said it will take about 4 hours

Will check my balance in the morning, but let me guess the whole bank might have been shut down so i wont get me money - 1 of the million excuses ive heard from him

they wont care it will be a civil matter and you will have to take him to court for it

been there before unfortunatley due to paypal and as he didnt steal the money as you willingly gave it to him its pretty much tough as far as they will care

As I initially thought it was a big lie and bank has notified me that he has not paid me, so on my way to the police.

Hey Wills

I just talked with the police over the phone and they didn't tell me 'tough that it's a civil matter', matter of fact they were really helpful, they told me James Clarke clearly knew he was in the wrong hence he couldn't give me a valid reason for not giving me the item on the weekend, also promising me to give me a refund last night and not doing that etc. They asked me to bring in all the evidence i have i.e pms, thread and bank statement printed out and will fill in a report, after that they will catch up with him.

Not sure why you said they won't do anything as they have more than helped me
