Personally this stands out to me as a scammer instantly weird isn't it how it comes from a Jim Clarke

It also came via Hotmail and somehow it seems its been sent to contacts in my address book so I warn people not to click the link nor to respond to this email or this person.

when this happened to us with an xbox 360 we got the police involved and where told that we should have got in touch with our bank with the police ref number and 9times out of 10 your bank with either reverse payment or pay you your 110 as they have insurances for this kinda thing! hope it works for you. didnt for us cos we payed over the counter!
