I find it appalling how much prices have fallen! If people didnt lower their prices in the first place pastels would still be £150-£200 and I think people would probably pay that for a pastel. As soon as one person drops prices everyone does to keep up with the competition and as prices fall people are less willing to spend money on that morph!
It is a shame because soon any tom, dick and harry could buy dozens of royal morphs which once would have cost a fortune. Whilst I think it does allow more people to enjoy breeding and creating morphs I think it gives people almost no incentive. New morphs are so expensive and the more reasonably priced ones are that price because of their large numbers... so unless you have money you cant really aspire to create something new or unique as someone would have done it before. I definatly think some of the 'plain' morphs like pastels are priced way too low these days - heck I could even afford one! What can you do, eh? |

The fires again makes me laugh because it just shows one thing they just want a quick sale but could the real reason behind the cheap prices be because of Bob Clark and the only way to sell is to undercut his prices? Give it a year and Pastels will be the same price as normals!!! but there isn't anyone can do about it except express opinions about it. Its not like there is a manual stating what prices a seller must sell for therefore its down to their own choice and no one else's. |

I think the main thing that gets people with BC is simply the fact of the size of the reptile when they are shipped I certainly don't agree with shipping an 80 gram royal just because of the pure stress that is involved with shipping.

CPR are selling male pastels for £95 but I think they are all sold at the moment.

Pastels are as easy to breed as normals, why should they be that much more anyway?
I mostly breed corn snakes, obviously a different price range - but I charge the same for Normal, Albino & Anery - it wasn't always that way, 10 years ago Amels were twice the price. Now they're just as common even though it's a recessive gene, a codom gene comes down even quicker!
