Question Why are people "scared" of posting pics

I notice quite a lot (if not the majority) classifieds don't have pictures but seller offering them when you send them your email address.

To be honest I like "window shopping" so if for example a DVD shop doesn't have any covers to look at but I have to go to the counter to see the cover of a movie I am interested and just know the name, I don't bother.

So why's that ?

I think it has a lot to do with the process of posting pics on here.

A lot of websites allow you to simply upload pics directly from your PC but on here, you have to use an imaging host ( i think ) such as photobucket.

Some people don't know how to do it
Some people can't be bothered
Some are scammers so don't want to, lol

Clicking "attachment" is probably hard

That's another thing I would assume unless I know the seller - a scammer ...

its a computer thing, everyone assumes that everyone is fully conversant with computers nowadays, some people know how to send them in an email but not how to upload to a forum, people just expect that everyone should be able to do this, its certainly not always the case.

I can see what you mean. Though it does get on my nerves when people want pics of plain fish tanks, faunariums, hides etc...Everybody knows what they look like ffs lol.

Good question...... I haven't got an answer though....
I always try to get up pics... It's easier than PMing them to people....

Yea I understand that ... But when it comes to snakes for a few hundred quid you can expect people asking for it anyway so I would personally try to get those pictures up simply as a selling point. I even saw some people posting "sorry, no pics" - would anyone agree to buy a 400 quid snake based on a post ?

But I admit - I work in IT for 20 years so I suppose I have to turn down my expectations a bit

Edit: actually I did buy a fish tank ones with shipping and it looked like *bleep* (never been cleaned in years) when I got it (no pics advertised) ... so sometimes it is good to see pictures
