Select Reptiles-anyone know whats going on?

Does anyone have a clue as to whats going on with Laurie at Select Reptiles?I paid him an almost 50% deposit for a Boiga irregularis in late October/early November 2009 and have yet to receive the snake or a refund despite over 20 phone calls to his mobile,more to his landline and numerous emails.I've received little response besides 2 emails with various excuses that he will contact me soon but never does.

I consider myself a patient fellow and put it down to the weather at Christmas/New Year as i would have needed him to courier it for me,but its gone way beyond a joke.I've been loath to make a post such as this,but feel i have no other option.

Anyone have a clue?

have you tried both of his numbers?

isnt he like in south asia meeting with contacts and surrploers at the moment anyway...or was that last month?

im not in the same boat but havent been able to get hold of him for 2 months straight calling both his numbers and recieved no emails.

but if he is abroad that would be why

Got an email from him months back saying he'd lost his mobile in France,had had problems with landline provider and gave me a number which was the same .Makes no difference whatever method of contact i've tried,2 emails with daft excuses in 5 months and 3 days is a joke.

As i said,i'm loath to post this,but my circumstances have changed completely the last month or so,i'm due for major knee surgery and could be off my feet for up to a year.I'm gutted i'm gonna have to cut back or possibly part with all of my collection and am just trying to put my affairs in order.

I've met Laurie in person and have spent hours chattining on the phone at sometimes unsociable hours for most folks,i think he's a great kid,WHEN you can get hold of him ,but i think he needs a kick up the arse for conducting business in other countries when he has committments outstanding in his own.

Oh well,lets see what happens.

to be fair that is actually true

So please have a browse of the attached pricelist and also of the photos attached.

For the next week I am only contactable via email as I managed to lose my phone somewhere in one of 3 Mainland European countries last week whilst out collecting stock and the landline is down for BT repairs... just typical timing! So please direct any queries via email in the mean time and I will get back to you asap.

I have had a simlar problem i bought a green tree monitor off him on the 22nd of march. She was quite skinny (through no fault of laurie he does look after his animails well) but he said that she would be fine after a couple of days so we trusted him an took her. After a couple of days she was gettin much worse and wouldnt eat or drink he said take her back and he would get her up 2 health and i could come and get her when she was ready. I have since been ringing his home and mob every day sent emails on facebook, captive bred, hotmail and direct to select reptiles, knocked on his front door on numerous occasions this saturday we got an answer and it was a guy who said that laurie had gone away yesterday (friday) for a couple of days. It is getting beyond a joke he has my £600 green tree monitor and wont even let me know how she is and im getting really upset and stressed about it i just wanna know how she is .

If he has been over seas who's bin looking after your lizard?

I know he has people house sit for him and look after his stock when he does go away, so i'm not worried about that. I mean he surely wouldn't let his own personal animals he keeps himself die would he? Just really frustrated that i haven't been able to get in contact no matter how i try really

is this the same person that rented from Select Pets......I think he was called Select Reptiles too we went there yesterday and the exotics bit was just gone, wierd
