If anybody would like to make an "enquiry" about buying a stat I would be very grateful for a contact address for Cobra Thermostats as I have a warrant waiting at a bailiffs in Newcastle looking for an address for it to be served at. There is a nice reward for the information. (Keep looking over your shoulder Chris, I'm not going to give up until you pay me back my money)

Thank you for your email,

The price for these new thermostats will be, Retail £119.99, The spec is as follows:

Temperature Control. Heaters upto 1000w max, Pulse Proportional output.

Lighting Control. Can be custom set to turn your lights on and off at certain times of the day, giving you full control over your desired photoperiod.

Humidity. These control units read and display the current humidity, perfect for your humidity loving species

Night Drop Control. Can be custom set to drop the temperature at night from 0-15c, this function becomes active automatically when the lights switch off.

Thermometers. Built into this control unit is 2 thermometers, these monitor both the cool and hot areas of the vivarium, these temperatures are displayed on the full colour LCD display.

Safety. Built into the device are various safety features, as follows:

Probe Safety: Should a probe be unplugged or fail, you will be alerted instantly on screen "PROBE FAILURE". This ensures that you have maximum time to correct the problem.

Heater Safety: Under/Over temperature alerts, Heater and Lighting sockets are internally fused for additional safety.

Power-Cuts: In the event of a power cut the unit will store all settings, if the unit was powered down for less than 10 hours, upon powerup it will automatically resume its stored settings.

Display can be selected between C or F

These units are controlled using a touch sensitive screen, only 2 touch pads are required to control the entire system, ensuring that is is simple to use.

Dimensions:

100mm x 65mm x 14mm

Included will be a control centre that will be located behind the vivarium, this ensures that all cables are out of view

other than obviosuly we wont buy them. they are very pleasing to the eye to look at. do look very modern

they do look very nice and sound the part, but just a shame a scammer like him is selling them as i would of had a couple for my racks

his quote on his herpshack web site was " we think you will be very pleased", does sound very familiar to " very pleasing to the eye"

Ive been emailing him and its clear its a con, very vauge on purchase details saying only he does not sell direct and wont name the shops that will yet. He also signs all emails as cobra stats and wont give name or address info.

Also the pic of the stat should be ringing alarm bells to every one, the cables look more pc/phone like and not power, probe, conection type.

This should be sent to pc brook as its now becoming eveident hes looking to scam again.
