Default MM being stolen

Hi all, we do hear from time to time about people getting ripped off where money is sent and no goods turn up but what about people that get a male sent to them and then rfuk off and never come back to you? its theft just the same i take it but seeing more and more of it. Thoughts anyone?

Well MM means something to those that keep T's, but to anyone else it's just two letters. Could have been made more clear.

But yeah it is stealing if someone doesn't return the MM if that was the arrangement. Has it happened to you?

I understood it

I only loan out males to people I know if I want them back or want any of the resulting slings. Otherwise I sell them or give them away.

This happens a lot. I'm sick of sending males out in good faith to never hear of them again. I even did it once where the owner of the female didnt contact me once after the initial "cheers he got here fine" message then a few months later was selling spiderlings of the same species (H. lividum). Obviously I cant go saying half should be mine but I should surely have been kept up to date.
In all honesty I can say now that from 42 males actually sent out over the last 5 years I've only had 1 load of spiderlings back (C. darlingi from Mary Walters).
Now it's got to the point where if it's not a good mate, someone local or someone willing to send the female to me to hold till she produces or moults then the males just sit here and die. I've had a couple of decent species here that have dies simply because I wont just send them out and be ripped off or have the pi$$ taken out of me.

why is it not they temperately buy the spider +sum for half the offspring as a deposit and when your spider is returned you give the money back??

if every one started doing this then i don't think people would get ripped off as much, and any one who didnt would learn the hard way loosing everything.
