Just wondering?

Whats more important to buyers?

Knowing the animal you are thinking of buying has been CB and cared for since before hatching, knowing you are buying from a knowledgeable person who is known on forums, and paying a respectable price

OR

Not knowing where the animal has come from, not getting direct answers to your questions, getting a dirt cheap price that stinks of WC imports, but buying from someone who has the support of others so you are not likely to be ripped off and not get anything.

Not picking on anyone, just very interested for my own reasons. This thread is NOT intended to be a slagging off thread, and I will ask mods to remove any names that may be used.

Why cant you have ALL of the above? decent breeders selling quality stock at good prices would be a winner for me

i go for a good animal but i think the breeder is more important.

same for me, i always check the animal thoroughly before buying, as i made the misake of not doing this, which is still causing me problems now

edit: i voted for 3, as i have bought from a reputable shop, and got one of the best snakes i have ever seen, she is more than dog tame, i have bought from shows, but i am far far more careful when buying from these, and i voted for reputable breeder, with resonable prices

Well I voted for a known breeder with realistic prices. I think this covers the health of the animal and realistic cost.

buying from a reputable breeder is very important when buying HET snakes as you are never sure what you are getting if you buy from an unknown breeder

Reputations can be Tarnished easily a bad experience 1 person will tell 10 people of it, a good experience for 10 people only 1 person will be told of it.

If that makes sense???

agree with the reputation bit, i notice that if something bad happens everybody knows/wants to know but if its something good no one knows/ want to know

makes perfect sense.

Its one reason serious breeders should be very wary of getting overly involved in forum politics or trivia.

Its far harder to rebuild your reputation than to ruin it. Annoying one or two unscrupulous people can really affect your business.

The only thing thats important to me, is a healthy good quality snake, from someone with knowledge. For the right snakes i dont mind paying that bit extra, ive never been one for buying cheap and as for wc.......
